Well first of all, i like nissans, and personally am a big fan of the VQ series engines BUTTTTT.....
Altima hung with a 6.0 gto??? I would have laughed even if you said ls1 goat honestly... Surely it has cams and bolt ons im sure, but its nowhere near being as quick as a goat.... Your vid proves it... How many busses did you put on him? i cant even tell...
And i myself have owned numerous of VQ series nissans including an 03 maxima 3.5 6 spd, compares to an altima V6 neck to neck... Lets just say, stock, i got walked by a new V6 camaro!!! Trust me, those VQ sedans arent all that.... but off course, hes modded the **** out!!!!!

If you race the one guy whiteknight raced you might win. Vut a good driver is going to leave you sitting. Walk so fast its retarded. Only real chance you have is a auto. And to let you know I know plenty of 5.0's that have went high 7's bone stock in the 1/8. Next who only races the 1/8th
Also what do you consider reasonably modded.

I am not trying to troll. The street variable is different then the track. A high 7's in the 1/8th mile Coyote, most of the time does not do that on the street. With a good driver it helps, but most people that buy these cars cant ride a clutch and make the damn thing hook up on the street half decent.

In So Cal the only tracks are Barona and Irwindale they are both 1/8 mile. Famoso and Fontana are 1/4 mile. Most people aren't willing to travel to Famoso, and Fontana is rarely open. So most people go to Irwindale because they run a Test and Tune everything Thursday. I think 1/8 sucks as well. Here in PHX we have a couple of 1/4 miles tracks. I will head out one day and go to the track see what happens with my car. I want to see some the 5.0 go high 7's in the 1/8, it will give me something to shoot for when I really start modding the car.

I don't doubt that. You are probably a good or reasonably experienced driver. However, you of all people know track times do not always translate the same to the street. The more hp a car has on street tires, the more of a headache it is to hook up and run what you could on a prep/rubbered track. That is why street racing is so much fun.

K, post a link of this one magical maxima/altima which can go from a very low 14sec pas to a 12sec pass by taking 300lbs off the car and slapping DRs on, makes me wonder why people bother with boost and spray if weight reduction and DRs can do so much. VQs, especially the DEs gain very little from bolt ons.

Because everyone knows ETs have nothing to do with how a car will perform in the street....it's all in the trap.
That didn't shut anyone up, that guy has so much weight reduction he's probably sitting on a 5gal bucket while making a pass, that car would be lucky to trap 104 if he put the 600+lbs he took off to hit 12s

I don't agree. If you lose 1 to 2 seconds because of traction issues on the street, your trap dont mean **** if you cant come around the guy at big end if he is out on you. Traction is everything.

It should of because everyone was saying a Maxima/Altima can't do that. It happened, regardless of weight reduction ect ect ect. Like I said, my buddies Altima will go 13.5 in stock trim, without any weight reduction.

Excuses? I'm just pointing out the obvious, I can care less what a Bolton/stripped down maxima runs.
Not really. I would've figured we were all in the same page that we were talking about a full weight street car. Next thing will be that he ran mid 13s on street tires too.
