Yea im not sure if you can argue that it will out handle the gt500.. I really wish they would have focused more on just making it fast in a straight line though lol. If you wanna corner you can just buy a vette!

It actually looks like it slowed down pretty good in some the corners. Look at some tarck testing from the 2011 GT500. It does really good. And with it goingt o be lighter it will do better.

True. But they improved handling from 09 to 10 to 11. They will improve it again. After all the time they put in the Boss. I think some will carry over for the new GT500.

WHat the ZL1 is up against for example as a track car. Leguna Seca. the 2010 GT500 did it in 1:44. The Boss LS 1:39.50 the regular Boss 1:40:21. I also highlighted the Vettes since they was the GM cars in the top 25.

i think they should kill off the camaro , its really bringing this show down lol , if gm puts out a car less than any mustang out right now its a huge epic fail.all those levels of traction dont mean a damn thing if it doesnt haul ***, this is where ford with the gt500 is killing right now, they have this old guy that knows what he is doing,and wont put his name on anything that isnt great.that is between the pony cars, imo gm kills it with the c6, as far as this 5th gen crap goes they need to do it right or dont do it at all!honest i would have love to see the zl1 with a turbo , thats where its going to be at for years to come, i love s/c but i just think it would have set it apart and been the first to do something out of the norm, i feel gm has kinda rushed this ,yes even with all the stops in production,just to come out with something that is going to be just as good as what ford has,no better. i guess we will see when they can compare one another side by side.

so far it looks like a body kit, supercharger, a lil drop in weight,and some suspension . with the prices of used 5th gens falling i think i could do those things, take out the back seats and spare tire and have a better than zl1 camaro lol, have they said how much lighter it will be then the run of the mill 5th gen ?

Us GM guys are really hoping they are gonna be as light or lighter, but we really don't know 100% if they will be 3600lbs or 4200lbs yet.

Of the camaro being light? I will keep dreaming lol . Who knows. I would think they would make it under 4000lbs after messing up the ss by making it so damn heavy. I shouldn't have posted this thread. The suspense for the zl1 coming out is killing me lol
