Then about 30 mins ago a blacked out vert mustang pulls up to us. Has gt500 badging everywhere, a hood scoop with supercharged written on it. He asks about the camaro, I tell him im a stock v6 (lol) he's game. Go from dig, pull about a football field on him by 140 lol. Turns out it's a badged v6. He is building a supercharged GT which should be ready in december, around the same time my ls3 valve swap and blower cam is installed so should be a good race!

Reason i am doing the valve train swap is for reliability. Blower cam is for future mods. I'm thinking of spraying in near future then going into a single turbo.

I can get VVT cams for half the price that net 140rwhp but I don't trust anyone here to do that work. I am limited to what mechanics here can do. VVT is much more complicated and not as reliable as the simple ls3 swap.

You're right. I read bad. The car hitting 500rwhp with cam setup had ported heads. But the VVT cams are putting out HUGE numbers when compared to the ls3 valve train swaps.

I'm hoping to be around 425 with my current setup. I'm hoping to squeeze a bit more rwhp with a better CAI, ported TB and JRE scoop. When all said and done ill hopefully be around 435-440. With a 100 shot I think I'll be ready to go.

Got me some more runs in today.

Tuned 370z, put about 5 cars on him by 105. Ran 3 times. From dig he stuck with me in first until I gripped then instant pull to 5. From roll wasn't even fun.

Also ran a 12.5 second mazda speed 3 boosted to hell. Put about 2 cars on him by 105 and I was pulling away. Would've been 5+ but I always stopped at around 105.

Then ran a 2010 civic si, not sure on mods, but blew him out by bus lengths. Just murdered him. Went from a stop, spun horribly but the car gripped finally and flew by like a bullet train.

Audi tt on, whatever model the one with a single tailpipe is, he was running 20lbs of boost and some other stuff. First we were even on my spin, i hooked started pull, had to cut off at top of 3rd and i was pulling on him hard, probably 4 cars.

2009 s2000, he didn't understand 3 honks, finally got him to understand, bus length destruction. Ran from a stop, same thing, had about 2-3 bus length at 110. Ran from a roll, i actually hung back a car he hit it first, i flew by him and had him by about 2-3 bus lengths again, probably more.

98 integra, unknown mods, but not stock, 2nd gear pull, pulled on him hard, cut off at top of 3rd by about 3-4 cars.

Another 98 integra, much much more modded, actually ran very strong. Not sure on mods again, but sure as hell wasn't stock. We wen't from a stop. He stuck with me through first (bad bad spinning), second i had him by a car, and by top of second into third began my pull, had him by about a bus by top of 3rd.

Finally they decided to call up someone to come "beat me." don't know. Guy shows up around 3am in a evo ii, pretty big cam and snail. Pretty nasty car. Thought it would murder me. Claimed it to be a solid low 12 second car. He didn't want to go from a roll (surprise surprise) so i obliged and said what the hell let's go from a stop. Anyway, i spin through 1st like crazy he pulls about 2 cars, through second i finally stop his pull at about 2-3 cars. 3rd i creep up, top of 3rd i catch up and pass him like he's standing still, hit fourth and had him by about 2-3 cars and he cut it off.

All together, good night, fun night. Now i need a cam, gears, a stall, some new tires since i'm running 21"s and i think i'll be good to go.

Just a slow little bolt on auto 4000lbs SS.
Cam and ls3 conversion installation next week so I'll be aiming for that cobra.
