I CANSEE FOLDING IN YOUR MIRRORS FOR A FEW HUNDRETHS BUT REMOVEING THEM AND THE WIPERSPLUS 400 OTHER POUNDS AND THEN GUNNING FOR THE STOCK OR STOCKISH RECORD IS JUST INSANE!

yea she went 11.6 at 118 mph off a 1.5 60 foot and 400 pounds removed. But the way she is right now how I daily drive is 12.2 at 114 mph.

Lol
i agree. Also, the T/A dudes that race at night and turn off the headlights so that they wouldnt hurt their aerodynamics! but yeah, i dont see the point in running a street car differently just because its at the track.

You gotta figure my stock cam only gave me 490 rwhp. So even just 530 is 40 rwhp over stock.

The company guaranteed me 50-70 hp gain with this cam but I dont belieave it yet

Don't get hung up on peak numbers. Look at the whole graph-you want the car to be faster not a peaky car. Good luck!

Quarter mile thers a chance your faster than noodily apendage. Roll speeds and hell no!

To the zr1. Yep thats pretty amazeing for just a 550 rwhp car. The one I read about was a 10.3 at 132 mph with the only mod being slicks.

As far as the viper or anyother car matching that. Its just like MC Hammer said...

I'm not one for nuthuggery, but I was at a certain shop getting a couple pulls on a dyno yesterday. They so happened to have a 5.0 black 6speed that came off the dyno recently with a d1sc. Car had headers/catback. Stock intake/heads/bottom end and so on.

Well, it threw a rod through the block at about 9psi. I saw it since it was up on the lift. The rod snapped clean while the piston was up so it didn't send it sailing through the heads. I only bring this up because I saw it with my own eyes and talked to the guys that run the shop. It was getting remote tuned by the vendor(join.me or a gotomeeting). I guess it made high 500whp but on desceleration is when the rod snapped. Kinda scary, be careful with that 5.0 ohio. I was shocked because they weren't pushing crazy boost, it didn't bend from the pressure. The rod up and snapped on the dyno during deceleration from the pull.

If you want more specifics, pm me.

I think I might be tracking this car already. This happen to a guy on mustang evolution. I talked to him and he even sent my tuner data logs. It seen spark knock but yet more timing was added.

If it is same car a built block is ordered. The person remote tuning is helping cover cost.

Well before blower maybe. I mean by your sig if you wasn't running better then mid 11s some thing wrong. Blower on you might be in trouble. Specially on the street.

The crazy thing was that it didn't snap during the run. It snapped afterwards during deceleration. They rate rods by pushing force, but the pulling force is what caused it to snap. It makes me a bit worried that the 5.0 is a ticking time bomb when a power adder, even at relatively safe levels, is added. Also they drained the transmission yesterday and it was black. Saw that with my own eyes. It's a getreg I believe, but manufactured in china. Not good for high horsepower applications considering it came off of a low miles car.

Good news is that when it threw the rod it didn't make much of a mess. It just poked a hole out the side and there it sat.

The rod probably failed during the pull but didnt quite break until they let off

You may be right but how they were explaining it to me is that when you let off there is a difference in the pulling forces that are put on the rods. No doubt that they are weakened during the run but they snapped during the letoff at high rpm. Kinda scary regardless especially since the car looked fresh off the showroom floor.

I wonder if they seen any knock.

We are having some issues with my car. Some idling issues and surging. Which seems to be wide spread with the 2011+ cars. Also with the smaller pulley we are seeing more boost then should. Should see 11/12 and are seeing 14/14.5. So we pulled down so see what it does then. We have two shops on the car and SCT them selves involved.

Regardless building a shortblock is the easy side. The thing comes with good enough heads to make monster power.
