A guy in town had a C6 Z06, cnc heads, cam, FAST 102, headers and a tune, made 550 or so to the wheels.

a 550whp c6 beat 600+hp and 700+hp cars. Something dosn't add up.

Lol. My car is 9 years old and desighned back in 02 and sold to the public in 03. If i can retune for afr and add headers and throttle body for full bolt ons and cam at 575 rwhp and pull a stock zr1 Id be just as proud as you guys who do full bolt ons and camshaft for 450 rwhp and pull on older vipers
My car sold for 90k back in 03. Thats about 30k LESS than a zr1. Id be honered to run one.
I will say this though.. Why do we givethe zr1 so much respect? The F458 went 10.8 at 132 mph factory stock on stock rubber at cecil if memory serves and no one ever mentions it. But the zr1 is always regarded as being the fastest of the fast.
Why?
Isnt the naturally asperated Ferrari more impressive? Or even the z06 in many ways?
Why do we praise this 120k supercharged vette the way we do?

KILLEMALL..'cause it's gorgeous that's why...and i love the 458 and the Z06 just as much,also because the ZR1 is quicker stock for stock...

I think people forget the zr1 has a what, 100k warranty? Its ment for rich people who want another stupid fast car and don't care what it costs, just that its the "fastest" vette. Same people who buy ferraris and lambos and then never ever drive them faster then the speed limit.
Id get a z06 and mod it before I got a zr1 as well, but for turn key performance, and nothing else, its pretty dope.

Weight is the biggest factor here with the ZR1 vs Z06. 215 lbs and 35 rwhp difference = an *** whippin. The ZR1 couldnt pull away even when given the kick, he did for a second then the Z06 froze him.
Mustang has no traction.
Do I really have to point those things out?

And I knew the zr1 was heavier, I was thinking zr1s put better #s to the ground then it does.

Why? Because the ZR1 does it at a fraction of the cost. And for around 5 grand it will pick up 100+whp while maintaining its factory warranty. Let's see the 458 do that. 
Bang for the buck the ZR1 is next to none.
And for the record, the ZR1 went 10.7@133 and trapped a high of 134 at MIR so it is actually the faster car.

Bone stock just a last week, the fastest bone stock zr1 and z06 were at the track same both bone stock on a drag radial the zr1 with a 1.52 60ft went 10.33@132.7, while the z06 with a 1.60 60ft went 10.71 @130.3. less that .4ths and 2.5 mph difference. Zr1s with a non heat soaked have dynoed as high a 540. Now the z06 on the other hand tend to all dyno around 450whp. Upto a 90whp difference but are only a few mph shy of the zr1 trap wise. Now add 120whp to the z06 and the results will be just like in the vid the fastfatboy posted.
