Default Got the smack down from a c6 lol

My 01 ss in sig vs manual c6 (I have no idea what year)

Saw him coming up in the rearview. Intitial thought was "oh **** a c6 im all done" lol and it wasnt some old dude out for a drive that never wants to beat on his car either. It was some dude who was ready to race.

1st race.
So he pulled up to me at about 65mph he gives me 3 honks. I jumped out to about a car length lead right from the start because he was late on the gas. I wasnt paying attention to the speeds we went but I wanna say by the time 10 sec went by he was flying by me.

2nd race.
I pulled up to him and we did a 45mph roll. This time at the 3rd beep we were both dead on. I hung with him neck and neck for maybe 7 sec till he started to run away lol.

I knew I was going to get my *** handed to me but I was curious how bad I would get beat. I wonder how much better it would have been for me on the 1/4.

sounds like you ran into a LS2 C6. Good runs regardless. I do love those totally random street encounters that turn into close, worthy races.

Thanks. I was actually the one that asked for it so he would have been the puss if nothing happened Usually everytime I see a vette its an old guy who drive it like a horse is pulling it. Yea I think the zr1s look just fine for my taste

Nice! Agreed on it being an LS2 C6, but you shouldn't be that scared haha. My buddy has one (his driving could use some work) but I was able to get him on a few runs that we did from a roll/dig. Did it sound modded or stock?

If you ran the times in sig with a higher d/a I would say it was an ls3, but with your mods it was probably an ls2. I run side by side with my friends ls2 vette with my z28 with full-bolts tell the very top end

Op...If you went with that C6 from a dig at the track, you would have ET'd him pretty good running 11.9 with a 1.6 60'. The Vette would have playing catch-up with you...but coming fast due to your 112mph trap.

11.9 with only 326 rwhp.... your car must have some serious weight reduction. it should take quite a bit more power to run that....?

I would of loved to see what happens from a dig. Ill bet it would of looked even better for me.
I had my passenger window down on the 2nd run and all I could hear was my ory and borla sound bouncing off the side of his car lol. No, it didnt sound modded at all.

Also FWIW my car is 3200lbs and he did have a passenger in the car.

Oh man like I said in original post I wasnt paying attention to the speeds but I can tell you once he started to pull he was freaking gone. On the first race I jumped out on him and the saw him pulling from behind. Once he started to pull I saw how fast it was gonna be over. So once he pased me I let out.

Yea thats what I was thinking unless he was a super driver? See this is the times I wish I had a manual. Highway rolls and mpg.

The same car did 12.0 in -1200 da full weight.
Heres the 2nd best 11.9 that same night.

Well slowhawks mustang dyno reads low so they say. My car dynoed 337rwh and 343rwt on another dyno before the stall.

He's got a stall, should do pretty well frum roll, compared to a stock stall in the dead spot. My 3200 TCS stall flashes QUICK, turbo spools instantly, and instant tire smoke.. does the same thing at 60.. a stall works wonders.

Easy for you to say lol. It isn't to hard in - d/a maybe, but when the best d/a you get is 2000 ft above it makes it a little more challenging. My brother is going for 11's with bolt-ons in 2500 ft d/a. If he ran in the negative d/a you had he would be 11.8's.

Converter choice will make or break a autos sweet spot. With only a few mods my cars sweet spot is 1st 0-20 2nd 40-50 3rd pulls relatively hard from 80 up.Currently running a ss4000 with 3.23's but,I did run a Circle D 3200 which was better more at the top of each gear.

I would say you right where you should be as far as times. My buddy had a 02 Z28 with full bolt ons, tune, gears and a SS3600 stall and he went 12.4@112 before the stall and 12.1@113 with the stall and DR's at full weight. Far from a record tho lol
