How fast is a GSXR 1000.
Just curious cause last year I raced one all the way up to about 150 or so and I stayed side by side with him the whole way and actually pulled on him about a quarter of a car. We stoped and did some friendly talking afterward and he told me that he has raced alot of cars and mine was the only one that stayed with him. I have a 01'ss, cam, 150-wet, qtp's, M6. I don't know that much about bikes. We raced on a cement paved highway under perfect conditions.

In a word: FAST.
They are 9 second capable right off the show room floor. Usually high 9's-mid 10's depending on the rider.
I'm gonna guess 500+ RWHP for your car.
So its possible maybe, but I'd love to see video!

Sounds like fun! Don't take this the wrong way, but are you sure he was ALL the way trying to beat you? Gixer1000s are bastards on the freeway. I found that one out the hard way...

They are much faster than your car. You have 5 posts and are lying. A 150 wet shot isn't enough to even "hang" with a GSXR 1000. The only way you might be telling the truth is if he was playing with you in 6th gear. Can you run a high 9 at 145 mph? The answer is NO. Move along troll.

Well with all that said, I can't seem to understand why you would think that. To answer one guy, I put down 527/605 on the juice, and in a M6, on the highway is where it really pulls. I didn't think that they were 9 sec cabable bikes right off the showroom floor though. Never seen or heard of one doing that. The guy was not playing w/me. Why would he let me pull on him at the end? I wish I had a video, but neither one of us were expecting to race that night. I actually just got done blowing the doors off a 70 something camaro with a 400 small block and a ton of nitrous. The bikers were there watching. They followed me and one pulled up right beside me, so I armed the system and purged, off we went. Like I said, we talked afterward and he told me he never had a car stay with him like that before. He obviously has raced it alot, so probably an average driver or above. The only thing I know about bikes is busa's, I've been told are the fastest.

Your an idiot. What in the hell does 5 posts have to do with anything? Obviously you have no clue what it takes to have a fast car. For your info, I have run 6.8 in the eighth hitting the rev limiter only trapping 100.4. My car is well capable of 10's in the quarter. Just haven't been to a track since the new rear end. Next time you call b/s, know who your talking to.

ive seen a video on the net of a big power, twin turbo trans am hang with two of these bikes on a highway run and the car stayed with em. they did try to pull a wheelie at the start which slowed them down probably. the power/weight ratio of bikes kills our heavy *** cars.

Really there is no point of saying this since those bikes are running 9's in the quarter. BTW none of the bikes on that site are GSXR 1000's runnin 9's. Mostly busa's and some other ****.

You said you raced him on the highway, so who gives a **** what they 60'? From a roll I'd say you got owned. I'm sure your car is fast as hell, no disputing that, but bikes are bikes.
