SRT8 vs 11' 5.0 vs 03 Cobra vs 10' SS
Met up with some SVTP members and Camaro 5 members tonight. We had a 2011 392 also but he had his kid with him so he couldn't run. But the stars must have aligned because we literally had all these cars in one place at the same time and it will probably never happen again. The Cobra had a Go-Pro so there will be video. I had my camera but I couldn't get it placed right to see anything im pretty pissed. Not sure about the passenger in the 5.0 but a Charger R/T following us filmed from his phone so I will check with him also to see what his footage looks like. I know you guys are going to ask out of all those people how no one got proper video but it was because no one wanted a passenger lol
Mods
Charger SRT8: Intake, Catback, Predator Tune
Camaro SS L99: Full Bolt Ons, LT's, Dyno Tune
2011 5.0: Full Bolt Ons, 3.73's, Dyno Tune (1 Passenger)
2003 Cobra: Full Bolt Ons, 2.76 Pulley, Dyno Tune
The Runs
5.0 vs Cobra vs SRT8
We went 3 wide from a 40 roll. 3 honks and instantly the Cobra and 5.0 jump out on me. The 5.0 started pulling on the Cobra on top end and put half a car on him and I ended up a car and a half behind all the way up to 140. I hung in there pretty good on top end. I was suprised because I actually expected to get beat by more but the good old 6.1 hemi pulls strong up top. (This Run should be on Go-Pro Video from the 03 Cobra)
5.0 vs SS
Started from about a 30 roll. They hung dead even up until 120+ where the 5.0 pulled a car length.
SS vs SRT8
30 MPH Roll: Jumped out half a car on him up until 100+ where he started coming back strong I was almost in disbelief...He made up the distance and we finished even but with more road im positive he would have pulled a car on me. I do have this one on video but you can only see in front of me and not him on the side. Thats my fault as I should have prepared better
50 MPH Roll: Didn't hear his horn so I got a late start but he pulled a solid car length on me and held it that way to 130+
SS vs Cobra
They started from a 40+ roll and went to about 120+. I followed from behind and it was dead nuts even....
5.0 vs Cobra
They Went from a 50 or so roll up to 140+ and the 5.0 won by a car. Also from what the Cobra owner told me he went into 5th during this run and the cobra had problems because something went wrong. So that was his last race. I heard 5th gear on the 03 Cobra is a big no no. (Again this run should be on Video as well from the Cobra's Go-Pro)
All in all it was a good turnout. Wish the 392 could have ran with us but he couldn't. I will say I gained ALOT of respect for the 5th gen after this. For his mods it ran damn good especially since it was an L99 also I was shocked when he told me because I thought it was an LS3. I will need more mods to compete I lost fair and square lol. It will be interesting to see how I do with full bolt ons and a dyno tune. Couldn't believe how good the 5.0 pulled on top end it was crazy...
When the videos surface I will post them up

5th gear in a cobra is around 145 and its not a problem for a short time. There is a mod you can do to cool the back cylinders that most everyone has done.
Good night seems like a bunch of good runs.

i used the same pistons the cobra's use on my last turbo 4v motor version...i was ALWAYS afraid of piston growth. 03-04 cobra's blown em at those loads. had to get rid of those pistons.

That SRT would have had a better outcome if it was running the factory stock 20's. The L99 Camaro would seem to be the slouch over all the rest but that's impressive for a heavyweight.
Not judging anyone cause I too have street raced but hopefully you guys are running those speeds in some remote area.

wow interesting runs: very surprised the cobra didn't represent better though: is that a small pulley for them? what rwhp do you mustang guys think he had with those mods?

Not making excuses, just answering the question.
More than likely the Cobra was heat soaked. It's not hard to do with a Eaton and as many runs as he made, you could probably see his car get slower each run it made.
Depends on how "happy" the dyno is; I'd say he made between 430-470 cooled down.
