Default LS1 Camaro vs LS2 Corvette *VIDEO*

Finally got my new clutch in & we were finally able to do our rematch for those of you that followed my last race with this guy...

His mods are just a ZO6 exhaust. My mods are in my signature. Felt I did pretty good... Both had a passenger. We wanted to do a dig but hwy in Mexico was a little to busy tonight & no local spots on the street. Plus hes on street tires compared to my DR

First time really using that MGW short throw shifter!! loved it..

Enjoy

Good run!

Don't let him use the street tire excuse. He was on street tires and you were on Dr's. He was also driving an LS2 corvette and you, an LS1 Camaro. Always take advantage of what you have. He sure did.

OP..nice run man and great job..
Those damn vettes have just to much of a weight and aerodynamics advantage. They are just tough to beat!

BTW, I like the black wheels on your ride, Looks evil, man!!

also..+1 on the MGW. One of the best shifters I have used so far. No more mis-shift with that thing...

Thanks man! But yea seriously I thought Id miss a shift because it was my first time really shifting through the gears & not being use to the tighter shifting but nope just kept going through each gear NO PROBLEM!

MGW is clearly #1 shifter on the market right now!

Thats a good loss OP. Vettes are just fast. The run i had with a Stock LS2 Vette and me being full bolt ons and end result was all i can do is keep up and a burned up clutch trying to powershift to 5th, lol.

Thanks guys.. I'm not complaining. He said his clutch is starting to have problems so I was hoping that lean towards my way but it didn't. Either way Vettes def got the weight advantage, aerodynamics, & a lil more hp lol. Be interesting to see what his car would put down on a dyno & track

I hope that was a joke lol.... I couldn't imagine a full exhaust ls2 c6 even asking me for a race let alone it being a good race

I actually thought that race would be a little closer.

Cool run Brandon, that C6 walked pretty good though lol.

We need to get a run in once I get my gears before you go H/C. When will you be at Infineon next?

All three of these are h/c ls1 cars. All of the 40 rolls with the black car I started in 2nd due to a bum tranny.

Damn man either a hella happy dyno or just a factory freak haha. What exact mods did you have when you dyno that?

I know man! Hopefully pretty soon... My passenger side axle might be fucked up? Making some noises when I'm on the hwy so I need to look into that before I do some serious launches on it... This damn rear end is never ending! But I wont be H/C until this summer so Id hope we get a run in before that..

Yea we've ran before but never was able to do a clean run because of my clutch. So I figured 1, 1 1/2 car length would be the outcome. Dig should be interesting though?

Its the same dyno that ive had all my cars dynoed on so I wouldnt say its a happy dyno considering my camaro after h/c came made 438/398 and my stock vette made 358/351 and with long tubes and no tune it made 373/368..but the mods that were done to the camaro when it was bolt ons were pace setter long tubes and ory, ported maf and tb,slp lid, and a flow master cat back. it was an 02 so it came with the ls6 manifold.
