Strong runners, both. I wonder what his car runs, but I am convinced it's at least in the .30's based on your time and the fact you killed it from the launch.

I think odarabla made it perfectly clear that he did NOT keep up. He was winning, until the overweight supercharged behemoth got going and blew right past him. Taking the lead from a better launch is one thing, but it's 100% evident, that GT500 is no joke.

Believe it or not we are both just a couple 10ths from each other 1/4 wise. My car is all bottom end power and his is all top end. He told me he never ran in the 9's but it's not far from it. I pulled away from him all the way to the 1/8 mile where he stopped my pull and came charging around me. By the 1000ft mark he had me caught and beat me by 1 car at the 1/4 mile line.. Did I run with him or keep up? I would think so only because in the first 1/8 I was steadily pulling away from him. Although my car is lighter than his (3540lbs to his 3800lbs) I believe his power to weight is better because his car is making so much power. His MPH is naturally going to be higher because of the 6-speed VS my power eating 5000rpm stalled A3. Not to mention I would have to run at least a 100 shot to run the same mph he does in good air but at that point I would be a 9.50 car..You must take into consideration this is not just a supercharged swapped 2011 GT500. This car has all the bells and whistles!!

I would have considered it to be a great accomplishment to run within a few cars of this car. To stay within a car length means that I built my **** right. Once the spray goes on my car then this video will have a very different outcome.. Not trying to be cocky at all but this car is 260lbs heavier than me with a big charger and other bad *** goodies and I stayed within a car length of him..

My point about keeping up is based only upon the fact he must've been running much faster to have lost on the tree, lost in the 1/8th mile, but caught up and passed before the 1/4 ended. He's probably looking at a 10mph advantage.

To me shows he can bang some gears. Imagine if he swapped in a C4 with a good stall. I am betting he drops least .4 off his time.

Not sure what mean bells whistles. As it really is that simple with GT500 to swap that blower on and headers and bolt ons such as cold air and then suspension. Do you mean he still has navigation and such? Is he running Meth or any spray?

No spray yet but bells and whistles doesn't stand for luxury items and let’s just say it doesn't run on regular pump gas... lol If he installed a auto in his car he may pick up some E.T. because of the 60 ft. but lose in traps speed by 4-6mph. So for a car of this magnitude having an auto isn't much better than having the Manual. He has a 2 step so all he does is put the pedal to the floor and lift the clutch when the lights start to drop. The biggest benefit to having the auto would be consistency..

I don't think he would drop that much MPH. But maybe. For comparison sake. I have a local Guy with same car as me. Actually set his car up.just like mine. Tires/rims/blower/exhaust. Both have same package etc. His car has been a best of 11.2@130. He is a mannual with 3.73's. He cut a 1.6 60 ft even. Compared to my stock stall time of 10.9@129. With new stall I will get better then a 1.88 60ft for sure. Drop an easy. 3-.5 off my time yet still pick up least 3pmh. I think said GT500 would benefit from a auto with a 5000 stall. Banging gears is never as fast as a proper set up shifting auto.

Maybe same reason JPC SC manual with 1000whp is now an auto. Just couldn't get out the mid 9's with manual. Now car has touched low 9's and expecting 8's with finner tuning.

2005-2007 GT500? Methinks thou hast erred... As far as I remember, there was no GT500 for the 1st or 2nd yr of the current(2005-up) Mustang chassis.
