Default 383 LT1 vs 302 BOSS

had a good time today at the track.raced a very nice boss 302 bolt ons..with my 383 lt1 camaro both spinning..

94 lt1 383 .foreged bottom end small cam only,and bolt ons ..no suspension mods..on bald tires
2012 boss unknown mods bolt ons for sure intake exhaust.we both did spin but whent even from the line.
my time this night was 13.056
his times was 13.009..buy alittle he beat me at the end..
i know his car can prbly go faster so can i .on good slicks(best on motor 12.2)
no he did misshift took off late nor nothing

What were the times for both cars?

How much are you spraying cause I have just a few more cubes than you and I am built for nitrous as well. I go 10.30's on motor and then ima hit it with a 200shot.

It's a forged 383 custom grind small cam , stock heads untounched intake swell . It's 10.6 on a 200shot. Once I upgrade to a bigger cam.some good heads and intake should do a good time on motor( hoping for 10s on motor) my suspension is all stock . I need to reinforce the suspensions well. I don't consider my car is bad , i still have a long way to go.getting there a mod at a time,and so far for what it has I'm very satisfied with it ....for now

Your car should be a beast with that 200 a mid to low 9 sec pass Mabe even 8 . Whats ur predictions?

So how you know the Boss had bolt ons for sure? You know they have cut out sstock right.

Looked like a pretty good run. Like to see both with sticky tires probably be just about dead even.

Ok, it makes more sense that you ran a 12.2 if the heads are stock. Decent heads and a cam with some suspension should get you near or into the 10's.

What kind of power is the LT1 making?

Driver mods for sure. And not all will run 11's.

the guys name is tali,hes the owner of a very good shop down here in laredo..he also has a ls3 trans am..10 sec car on motor..hes a hell of a driver.its funny how its so hard to belive this

Decent sized cam/full-bolt on auto LT1s go low 12's

Why such a mild 383? Stock heads and a mild cam? Doesn't make much sense to me

350 was blown just stroked it out to a 383..keept the topend.

Gotcha. Swap out for some AI cnc'd 200cc heads or LE2 heads with a good custom cam and watch her shine
