I was out taking a few laps around town last night in my modified Pontiac Grand Prix GTP, when I spot a Black LS1 TA. I cruise at 10 over the limit to catch up and when I do, the guy starts pacing me. We are headed out of town doing about 50mph and there's no one in sight. So I give it a little gas hoping he would get n it. Sure enough, he does just that. I timed my downshift with him just right and I immediately start pulling pretty good from him. By 85 or so when I let off, I already had a good 2 cars on him and yanking. Afterwards he got up beside me again and gave me the thumbs up. So I obliged and returned the gesture. His girl was smiling back at me also, which is always the icing on the cake!

I also tangled with a 3V Rousch Mustang later on. 2 guys in their 20's were out roddin' around, trying to show everyone how much their dicks grew when they stepped into that Mustang. So I taunted them a bit and so on. From a 55-60 roll I pulled about 2 or 3 cars to 90 mph. And from a stop light with them right in front of me, they take off hard on green and waited a few seconds before launching after them. Reeling them in hard like a little trout squirming for it's life, then hitting the brakes at 70mph. The stang actually sounded pretty good. Definitely had some exhaust work on it. But that's all, folks!

Umm mods? It would take some pretty good mods to pull those kills off in the manner you stated. Or are you like the guy in the GXP that thought he was racing me yesterday? Flies up on me and rides my bumper: leaving the red light I screwed around and spun my tires up to 60mph (pulling and spinning) and left him a car behind me. He then did the ricer flyby after I let off the gas. Guy would NOT look over, even when lined up at a red light, and every chance he got he would go WOT. I just shook my head at his street racing ignorance and let him go. Then a SSE thing tried to race me an hour later on the freeway. I ignored him so he too took off flying around cars in traffic to show me that he was legit or some ****.

I know what you mean. Right before we took off the passenger of the mustang was looking over at me with a big ''were gonna smoke this tool'' grin on his face. Then when we both hit it, and I started pulling away, his face immediately went blank and he turned his head straight forward.

Lol thats great. My brother was running 12.7s in his gtp stock with a pulley. Ive alwayd wondered what a cam would do to one of those.

Not bashing on mustangs but has anyone else ever noticed every single mustang from 1996-2010ish (or now) sounds the same?

Uhm, you mean 13.7s maybe? No GTP has ever ran 12's with just a pulley swap, sorry. Even 13.7 would be pushing it.

It usually takes a healthy cam/bolt-on set up like what I have to hit 12's in a GTP. Or rockers/bolt-ons and an intercooler. A pulley swapped only car would be lucky to run better than a 14.5 cause it would probably be knocking pretty badly.

GTP's are fun cars and can surprise some people. I had a 2000 GTP with 3.4 pulley, PCM, intake and cat-back running 13.90's. I would pull hard on stock and light bolt-on LS1's from a dig, then they would fly by me around 100mph.

Yes a basic 3.4 set up on a GTP will surprise a lot of people stop light to stop light. 13.9 is decent for those mods too.

I ran a cam/bolt on LS1 F-bod a couple months ago, and had him out of the hole by a couple cars. He couldn't pass me until about 110 or so. We pulled over and he said he thought something was wrong with his car at first until I told him what I had in the GTP.
