hey bro, roll out or go home is what i'd say lol. the vette played their game, now its their turn to play his. if they wanna play on the south side of 100, they can find a gokart to run or an 1/8th mile track to race at. you wanna roll with the vette, be ready to go the distance, none of this 60 to 100 bs. thats for high school kids lol. 100 punches are just a different kind of test really. a better test of who really has the faster car cause its all engine output and aerodynamics, the driver skill isn't dependent on not missing gears or who shifts the fastest, or who can get a car to 60 foot better. its motor, car, and the driver's juevos...

We let out at about 130 in that second race vs the vette, if thats any indication...and the GTO was catching him top end. The GTO has much better gearing than the vette at the moment.

The 5.0 owner is a buddy that deals cars. He wants to keep it stock so he can sell it down the road. He never really mods his cars, but he's owned quite a few sports cars including an LS2 GTO. He can drive the ***** off a car so whenever he gets something new, we like to line up with him since we know were probably not going to run into a better driver with the same car, lol.

Your ******* kidding right? 100+ mph rolls? Dude, thats the most retarded thing I've ever heard. We go to about 130-140 mph on roll runs. Thats plenty of speed to see who has the faster car. And the vette didn't "play" our game, thats how we run every time...with every car. Start at around 40-50 mph and go to 130-140 mph. A 100 mph roll is for idiots who want to slap the car in one gear and just hit the gas....or a supra owner.

I wish people would stop saying the 3.31 geared cars are slow. The gearing advantage is not the rear end... its the TRANSMISSION. You could put 2.73 gears in the back of it and it will still never fall out of its power band because the gears are so close to each other. This transmission, reving 7000rpm, with 3.73s in the back... is the equivalent to a t-56 car reving 7000 rpm with 4.56s. First gear is 3.66.

On another note.. Good vid and good day time runs. Has the GTO been retuned since the header install. As in making sure AFR is legit and not lean.

I went 12.1 at 113 with a bolt on no geared auto iron ls2 gto. 360whp. Tell me more about how slow they are.
11.4 at 120+ on street tires adding H/C.. still stock intake. How fast is your tune only L99?

no ball busting here brothers and i rarely ever kid. i guess thats the beauty of living west of the mississippi. lots of access to private open roads. sorry you guys dont get to have that kind of fun out there. idk what else to tell you.

GTO hasn't been back to the dyno yet since the longtube install. Hopefully we can get it there soon to check it out.

As far as the 3.31's, I don't know why people are so upset when you list 3.31's over 3.73's. The mustang with it's 7K rpm powerband and 3.31's shifts around basically the same time as the goat reving to just over 6K RPMs and having the MN12 close ratio tranny. I'd say thats pretty good gearing! Like you said, it's all in the tranny, not the rear axle.

we cranked that song on my van's stereo, when one of our r/c model pilots was showing off. he nearly lawn darted it as he started laughing.
