Default 2006 Mustang GT vs 2009 G8 GT - Dig Runs

A few of us got together for some runs, but got rained out shortly after meeting up. We did manage to get a coupe quick runs in before bedlam broke out.

My friend's car is a 2006 Mustang GT. The car is a manual and has most of the bolt-ons (including long tube headers), 4.30 gears, Ford Racing Hotrod Cams, and M&H drag radials:

I ran him on motor and we each had a passenger.

Even though the night was cut short it was nice to get a couple clean races in.

He wanted to test out his car, power-wise, and he's always been able to edge me out in a dig race, so we should have done some low rolls, but we couldn't pass up the perfect setup for some dig runs.

Grr, can't view videos at work

I'm so envious of the amount of races you get. The most action I get was last weekend in my mom's Grand Prix vs a high school looking kid in a V6 Mustang

Nice races!

Looks like the cams really helped out the stang lol I was expecting the out come to not be so close.

Those are actually pretty mild cams. So far he hasn't been able to go any faster at the track with them.

Yeah, the gears seem to help quite a bit. When we've done rolls in the past (even very low rolls) I come by him but usually I can't catch him from a dig.

I know diddly about your car, m6 or a6? If auto stalled?

I'm guessing weight isnt helping you either?

~edit~ and if I asked before then just remember I have an lt1 and can't be that smart lol

A6, stock gears and stall, bolt-on car. Weighs 4000 lbs without driver.

I want to put the stock wheels and tires back on and try it again. At the track they seem to be worth a couple tenths.
