Yeah but any of these RWD cars are capable of being "quick" (having a good E/T) It just needs the trap to back it up.
With some work (a driver mod/tires) you can really see what each car is capable of from the factory.
You know how many 11 sec bolt on ls1 f-body's there would be if people truly cared more about E/Ts on here? lol. I think i would rather throw a Heads/Cam combo before justify buying a beefy enough rear to go to the track.
I don't think ive seen a 11 sec mach 1 with bolt ons yet. Has anyone done it? If so that's really impressive.

I had an LT1 back in the day - it had to be an ET queen because of lack of power. Too bad I only got it to the strip twice in 3 years
Careful, Stoppy and his pals might claim this 11 sec mach 1 without sufficient proof
I'm not going to lose sleep over it. And no worries, I saw your point the whole time. I'm more of an ET person myself but MPH definitely means the "faster" car vs ET being "quicker"

Agreed - I'd personally rather have a more fun car on the street. Generally don't get enough chance to gotoIt helps my case that the 10-bolt generally lives a longer life behind the 4l60e

Anything is possible though.
Theres a guy down here running 11.3 at 117 in a hatch on motor (always use hondas as examples cause i dont know anyone with an f-body here).
So its very believable that a 112-115 mph bolt on ls1 is capable (or any rwd for the matter) of running 11s. Just wish these things had a decent rear, it would be very common.
Now stoppy for example just has to pick up 4-5 mph in the 1/4, and he will more than likely be capable of breaking into the 11s.

All Hondas over there? It is the same in Des Moines. HUGE Honda crowd (most of which I'm not a fan of - so that is where my bias comes from) Lots of Mustangs and a slightly growing F-body, GTO, C5, G8, TBSS, etc. crowd
I'm looking into getting into another TA (01-02 black ws6) when I graduate but I just have a hard time justifying paying >$10k for an f-body (aren't worth it to me - maybe the time of absence will grow on me)

Took a real rear end and lots of weight reduction to get there, but with a stick is impressive. From what I recall it had no hvac, a lot of interior gone, S60 4.56 rear, and bolt-ons

I never brought up the track I said on the street. He brought up the track thinking he will have some kind of advantage but he wont. One the Street im faster theres no question and I run faster at a slower track in anywhere from +1800-3000 DA he ran his time in +350 Da thats almost perfect. His car traps 108 modded. 6.1 SRT8's trap 108-110 bone stock. Mine traps 112-113. There are guys with my exact mods. Intake, Catback, Canned Tune and DR's running 12.3's @112-114. Not directing this to you but show me 1 mach 1 with catback, tune, dr's running 12.3 @ that much mph. And not corrected times lol

"I haven't dyno'd the car since I put the headers on, but it dyno'd 317 then. I'd guess it's around 350 rwhp now @ 3270 race weight."
Checked his vids and he it seems legit. When you guys say race weight does that mean with driver or without?

That's quick! I had a buddy that had identical mods to me except A4. I was off-road y, stock manifolds, cut out, lid, and 4.10s at the time. DA was just under 1000ft. I was on the stock Goodyear RS-As and the car has always trapped well. I went the time in sig. I know the trap was correct because I was on the stock limiter at the line in 4th. My buddy had a 3200 stall I believe and 3.73s with all the same engine mods I had. He went 12.0 at 111 the same day. He was on DRs, but it was a joke racing him. I would slowly pull from a roll, but that auto was deadly consistent at the track and he was full weight. I shattered my ring gear twice with the 4.10s on the RS-As so there was no way a DR was going on the car. Of course the track I went to at the time, Carlsbad, had the most horrendous track prep imaginable considering you came in on a dirt road. Damn A4s!

I am not sure. Car is a B4C too so that is a tad lighter(no speakers in the trunk area etc)
