From a co-worker who claims he can take me out in his STOCK 5.9 Jeep Cherokee. I just have a lid and catback in a 2000 Z28 auto. How bad do you guys think this will look?

Heres a good example of someone who probably drove a 4 or 6cyl for years, then they get a car/truck that has some torque and they think they will whoop on everyone they come across for the simple fact they think just because you have a 5.7 and he has a 5.9 he should be faster!!!

I think you should toy with this yahoo, give it just enough gas to stay ahead then let off, gas, let off...LOL, then just punch it!!!

That's exactly what he says "its a 5.9". I don't even wanna toy with him, destroying sounds so much better. I told him that if the weather is good, I'm going to ATCO on Saturday. He should come along so that I can kill him and the stock 96 mustang GT the same day.

some of the new Jeep Cherokee's do have Hemi's in then. You would still kill him because a jeep weighs a lot more.

im sure it has the 5.9L dodge 360 in it just like the durangos, they are pretty quick for a SUV, infact i beat a stock 5.0 foxbody by 2 cars in one hahaha and it ran a 9.9 in the 1/8th.

no, the hemi is the 5.7L. It's the old motor. The hemi goes into the jeep in 2005 which you can buy. Even the hemi versus only runs a 15.1 because it is so heavy. Still no match, what morons, hehe. I agree with everyone else, for the ignorance, make it ugly.

They put the 5.9 in the 96-97s something like that. When they changed the body style to the newer (not newest, 05 has the hemi) they used the 4.7 liter V8. My mom has a 99 Grand Cherokee w/ the 4.7. The earlier ones w/ the 360 have the mid 90's grand cherokee styling and the back of the lift gate says V8, but underneath in small writing it will say 5.9 liter. They didnt put those engines in very many years.

I beat a new hemi ram with my poor old crown vic before I sold it..lol. You should have no problem unless you run on flat tires or run out of gas.
