Some people give old LT1 salads away. Put some Nitto's on some 16's. A Stall is going to take some time to get used to. A 3200 - 3600 Stall and a 150 Shot will get you in the 11's easy along with those tires.
Always get a brand new stall and be careful with buying used Nitrous stuff. NX Is the best way to go as I had both NOS and Nitrous. Run a wet kit and not a dry.

Okay thanks for all the imput guys i never expected this!! haha i am deffinatley going to be looking for like a 3000-3200 stall! the reason for the aftermarket TB is cause a guy i know has one but he is upgrading his WHOLE system so he is giving me his old one.. i figure with that and ls6 intake would help... and DANG DRs arent cheap!.. whats my best bang for buck? i see nittos are on the lower price rang

So after all the talk, it's fair to say that the 2V Mustang should beat the OP?
To the op dont go for a 3000-3200 stall your 3.42 gears will tighten up a bigger stall pretty well imo contact Dave at yank for an ss3600 or Chris@ Circle D or Greg@ FTI and look into a 3600 range with a higher str. The higher str will help street driving as well as give a harder hit for a better launch providing you get traction.

So a big *** stall and DR's seems to be the going advice.
Here's my impression of that with the 100k + rear end...
"VVROOMVROOM VRROOM VRROOOM squeek CLANK!!" then the low tone of 50 or so High Schoolers booing and laughing as OP's head lowers and he wishes he would have thought about this whole thing a little better.

Who said the rear end has 100k plus miles? The op's rear was gone through and 3.42 gears installed. I believe the op's car came factory with 2.73 gears. I don't think he will blow out the rear end with a stalled auto - if it was a m6 I would be banking on some cool breakage but not in this case.
I am surprised this thread has gone on this long and still no race video. lol Although I am not in favor of the op racing on the street - I'd like to see these boys, er...young men bring both cars to the track.

My dad is a certified gm mechanic deal type thingy he's a tank when it comes to working on cars... Haha and I was hoping to find a used stall for about 300 bucks and then $140 pertire for some nittos so like 600 bucks.. Does that sound about right??
