BMW 135i vs Mustang Cobra
So went to my normal crap lunch crap stop also known as the deliciously bad for you "Del Taco". I see a late 90's convertible cobra with the top down parked in the parking lot. Paying no attention I finish up my meal and walk out the door to hop in my car. I see a middle aged balding guy with one of those over the belt guts walk out toward the cobra. hmmm, hope he's heading the same way I am. Sure enough he see's me pull out of the lot and he gives chase. i give it a little gas pulling out of the lot to signify I'm game if he is. He returns the favor and gets to my rear bumper. here we are sitting on South Las Vegas Blvd at a red light and I quickly kill my DTC. He won't look over but I could tell he was up to something. Light goes green and we both leave from the light at a normal pace as I want him to take the hit. I shift to 2nd and hold it to see what he's going to do. he's holding his gear to. after about 5-10 seconds I figure he's not going to go so I begin to let off the throttle to shift to 3rd and he punch's it. F' that I hit it while still in 2nd to but bogged a little. Didn't matter. By the time I no lift shift to third I'm walking past him. I put about 3-4 more cars on him then short shift 4th. We come to the next light and he again won't look over. I'm waving, giving thumbs up, nothing. I guess I'm just another queer in a BMW to him.
We begin to pull away from the light and do the same sort of staging. We both are holding gears in 2nd, but he won't go. I even blipped the throttle thinking he wanted me to take the hit. Nope. Well about 15 seconds of that goes on and I shift 3rd and then into 4th cruising and then he nails it. F that, you had your chance and you can clearly hear me shift into 4th Mr. Convertible down man.
Mods
135i - 6mt - JB4 Tune/Intake filters/E85 mix. I also have a NLS and 2step module but only used the NLS
Cobra(99ish) - 5mt - Exhaust.
Almost a race.
Came across an Aston Martin Vantage, but he wouldn't give me a go. Just revved at the light but when it turned green he would pace, but no go. That would have been a good run.
pic of my car.

My car is probably sitting around 360-380whp and it weighs in at about 3300lbs. Mine doesn't have a whole crap ton of options outside of the M sport package and premium package.

Good kill. Any plans to upgrade the intercooler? I just drove a 128i last week in Germany. That car is a ton of fun. Still waiting to drive a 135i. I'm most definitely picking up a 1 series M when the sales prices drop a bit.

I've got an IC and chargepipe I can put on. I was going to wait until I get it back home in IL as I have very little tools and space at my condo in vegas. My contract is getting extended though so chances are I won't be bringing it back until mid to late next year. I like the 1M, but trying to find one for a good price is going to be tuff. They were pretty limited numbers being produced. Its easy for bolt ons to be added to make it similar to a 1m, but the steering has a bit different ratio and the widebody on the rear allows wider rubber. Otherwise you can swap a LSD in the rear and put bolt ons and a tune. The 1m has the same n54 but with a better intercooler and more aggressive factory tune. Nothing you can't get in the aftermarket.
