Good Runs OP!... sucks that's all you were able to get. Last weeks arrest deff scared some ppl away. Would of been nice to meet Cwarta/SOOPERDEWD, personally but theres always a next time.


Comical to see how ppl get their panties in a bunch when a 5.slow gives LS ride a run for its money

Huh? Is that directed at me? Superdood? I dont live close to you guys i dont think? On my phone i cant tell. Anyways i wasnt butthurt at all i wasnt trying to make excuses i was saying that 114 trap seamed a little low, but then i realized that was the GT trap lol. It pulled back at the end so im assuming the traps on the gto are a touch more, right on par with what i was saying? No hate here those 5.0 are deffinatley respectable

I trap 114 on a 36pill, with stock heads and intake... 12.0 2.0 60ft, and would still pull away from many different rides from a slow roll. For some reason i read wrong and thought superdewd was you, he's a member on our forum. Sorry, monday still not recovered from the weekend.

My car, hiho, yours and many others will run totally different times and traps at the track with BS 235 tires then DR's or slicks.

The GT's do make more tq then the boss's. But not 40 more with those mods.

The GT makes 370-380whp stock by a hundred different dyno's And 355-365wtq stock for the manuals

Here's 5.0's dyno sheet he just posted. I told him HP seems good but tq is high for sure.

Nah not really cam/exhaust LS is pretty much on par with an intake/muffler delete 5.0... I ran the same 5.0 in my cam/exhaust T/A before he had the intake and I pulled him ok. Also a cam/exhaust G8 in the far lane.


Edit: Why not another? This was the week prior when he was bone stock, just broken in. 20 roll. Fast forward to the :45 second mark.


Edit 2: **** it, a third, same race as above. Fast forward to :25 second mark. Turn the sound UP because this one is low low low.

Intake and muffler delete dont do much of anything on a 5.0. Intake, tune, headers etc is where its at. that gto should have easily put lengths on the 5.0. gto just runs like crap. cammed ls2 barely keeping up with a 110-111mph car lol? oh well its the street anything can happen.

He went 114 at a shitty track, pay attention to the thread or at least the first post. Pertinent information exists. And by he, I mean the 5.0, don't want to confuse anyone else with clear as day information.

When will people understand that while most GTs will run 110-111mph, and the very rare ones run 113-114.... that they are the same god damn car. So when racing on the roll.... you rule out any launch and 330ft errors that will hinder mph at the track. So if this GTO trapped 114.... and its side by side, actually being pulled by a very minor bolt on 5.0... why is that a shock? I just dont understand it. I swear some people think that there is a difference in a factory car. They all make the exact same hp. Theres only one difference.... DRIVER!

Evan, that's not the problem. The problem is if your cammed ls2 gto traps 114, it's a toilet and you should sell it immediately.

cant let the trap speed dictate the car on the roll. My buddies cammed ls2 full bolt on gto (basically everything except heads) but with a stock drivetrain/wheel/tire... trapped 115-116. But its rolls pretty hard on the highway. He will pull a car that traps the same as his does efficiently... the same mine would do to a car that does 117.
