01 Cobra vs. Viper, 03 Cobra & cam only Camaro
Hey guys I've been reading all of the kill stories on Tech for a few years but just got around to signing up.
I have an 01 Cobra with an Eaton swap, put down 464whp. Since the video I've had it retuned with a leaner AFR but no numbers from that tune.
The viper in the video just had a cat back and the 03 cobra is pullied and ported, Camaro is cam only and specs are in the video.
Enjoy

Wow! Yeah a good cammed LS1 should've done a little better than that lol. Your car runs good man! Shoot with my setup I only lost by a car against my buddy's ported/pullied 03 Cobra, and I just have a really basic HCI build lol

Great races! What's your car weigh compared to that 'vert, you think?
I must be getting old, but I actually agree. I used to love that sound, and some blowers do sound great, but those stock Eatons don't sound good IMO.

Thanks guys,
I'd like to run a properly set up heads and cam F-body next summer, I'd be interested to see the outcome.
The whine never gets old
At the time of the race with the 03 cobra I probably weighed around 200 less due to my aluminum block and 5 speed. He dynoed 490whp on a mustang dyno and my 464 was on a dyno jet. I think the biggest difference was his 3.55 gears vs my 3.27.

I drop too far out of the powerband when I shift with the 3.27's, his peak power is 500rpm below mine and he has 3.55's. If we ran it out to 160+ I probably would start coming back though.

Nice runs, your car is running strong. Not sure where you're located, but I'm sure if you live near anyone on the forum with a good H/C set-up, something could be lined up!
