01 ws6 vs 5th gen. kinda dissapointed
Well I've been wanting a 5th gen since they came out but it's out of the budget for now but after today I don't know I want one. Coming home from work I see a camaro and he paces me and we both give it a little tap and I was excited I haven't ran one yet so we pace through a turn when it gets straight and we went from a 40 roll. Needless to say I jumped a car almost instantly and was pulling hard until I got off it. His car. Was just as loud as mine so I'm assuming it had an exhaust unless they sound good and loud from factory. Mods are in Sig.

Yeah, a full bolt-on car, you had that in the bag from the get go. Not sure if it was L99 or LS3 model 5th gen, but most L99s I've seen at the track are only good for like 103-105 traps out of the box. With your full bolt-ons, you would beat that pretty decisively

Dude if it was a L99 Camaro I can personally attest how slow they are when stock. Back when I had my 04 Mustang gt (yes the wimpy PI headed 2 valve lol) I actually beat one from a roll. All I had was full bolt ons, cams, gears, and tune. If it was the 6-speed LS3 i'm sure I would not have been so lucky lol

Good kill, definitely expected. Stock Tune L99's are nothing impressive.

5th gens got a bad rap, but they are pretty good street racing cars. i got a bolt on cam with a 125 shot , but without spray it still runs good. on the track they take alot of upgrading the drive line to make them able to take anything other then idle launches with a m6. the autos need a tune the have terrible shifting from factory. + alot of ppl try to shift them with the paddles and its even worse then letting the car shift itself in standard mode.
