LOL sounds like you are making excuses for the LS1.

How? No excuses. The ls1 has been around forever.2.73's and a stock auto car isn't a real outstanding car. But put a stall and good gears and with 100hp less it'll do plenty fine vs a 5.0. I like the 5.0 its an impressive engine. But i have no reason or motivation to become a nuthugger for one. Im a tight ***, bang-for-the-buck kind of guy and ford cannot touch my needs/wants like an ls motor can.

I totally agree with this! The new 5.0 is bad ***...plain and simple, but bang for the buck the LS1 is much more practical for a guy like me. In fact the LS1 motor (not so much the rest of the car) is the main reason I traded my Mustang for one lol

You have a 2010 Camaro in your profile. 5th Gens are usually more expensive than the newer 5.0s. Just sayin'

It's not down 100 hp to the 5.0. Everybody knows the f bodies had the same engine as the Vette did.

Its pretty close to 100hp down don't most stock coyotes dyno like 370-380ish? Its not that common to see a lid or stock 2.73 auto car make over 300whp lol

Gear ratio shouldn't matter much though.

Yeah man same here, I love the looks (besides the ugly rear) but I wasn't impressed with driving them. I was impressed by the initial ride, but you literally can't see anything. The car has so many damn blind spots and just feels like you're driving a spirited tank around

I completely agree with the blind spots. Which is why I don't like to drive it. Being a toy it'd be different but Nah. I'll stick with 4th gens and vettes

Do you have a C5 then? I love the "raw" feel of C5s in comparison to C6s but the C6 has so many nicer creature comforts
