Default Want to run a C6Z stock/lightly modded in Nebraska

Hey guys, im wanting to see how the new build stacks up against a stock or lightly modded C6Z, or equivalent C6. Jus a fun friendly race. Expect to race a roughly 460RWHP+ GTO M6 with driver mod haha

You'll want a stock Z06, and the gto will be quite brutally annihilated, assuming good Z06 driver.

A stock Z06 puts down roughly the same power, maybe a little lower, but weighs much less... race a stock one to make it somewhat fair.

I've had this race w/ my M6 GTO w/ @470rwhp against a stock C6Z and it wasn't pretty...a stock Z has the @the same rwhp and alot less weight to move.

If you were an A4 car w/ @460 and a good converter maybe from a dig...barely.

This a 6.0/stalled auto car w/ @460 IIRC and that Z is running him down hard at the end.

It's not going to be fair, even stock. Those cars are brutal, regardless of wheel horsepower. They've got a great transmission, low weight, and a very decent engine.
There is a member who owns a z06 and a TT GTO. It took 550+rwhp from a twin turbo gto to walk a stock Z06. Then a bolt-on Z06 beat the GTO.

I think his car has a good bit of weight reduction and might be making more than 460whp. Just a guess.

I think a bolt on ls3 c6 would give you a run for your money.. C6z would rape you even if you had 500rwhp. They weigh like 3160lbs and dyno 460ish rwhp.. Better gearing and wider tires.

I wanted a base line as I will also be spraying (Yes I was going to tell who ever wanted to race me that). So I wanted to get a race lined up and then talk to the owner of the car because I really don't want my Nitrous setup exposed out here to the locals yet.. I would be running drag suspension with slicks/skinny`s and on the shot be roughly 600rwhp...

Also, Im hoping to be trapping in the midd 120`s WITHOUT the spray, but that may be a tall order...

You should be looking for a cam only c6z.. As much as These c6's are point in click modded ones are kinda rare. Good luck with findIng

I think the vette has a sligh advantage just because of the weight

Off spray a C6Z would not be a good run. A bolt on won you would probably beat but a cam only won would still beat you. Yes it may make a little less but gearing, weight, and aero would be the killers and of course whether the driver can actually drive it.

I should be making at or just over 500rwhp with my stall unlocked, 1pc CF driveshaft, 3.70 gears, UD pulley, all the normal weight loss, etc. I've barely beat 2 C6Z's and got edged out by 1.

Trust me when I say you want to find a stock C6Z just to keep him close enough to make your before and after video interesting.

Nasty GTO bro. I think a stock C6Z would be a good run if it had driver mod tbh.

I've always loved GTOs.
They're pretty much fast 5th gens.

Off the spray I never expected to win really, I know these cars are absolutely beastly. Would I beat up on a stock C6 or would it be a decent race?

Haha thanks man! New motor has 15 minutes of run time, and Im itching to get out and play. Added a lot of hp/tq, 1 piece DS, full drag suspension and less weight, lighter tires/wheels and I am itching to get out an play

I ran a H/C/I c6 z06 from a 20 with the 402. I make 500 and with a gear and he passed me like I was backing up. He was out at least 2 cars by 100 and pulling really hard.
