Toxic c6 vs 2011 5.0

evan had massive wheel hop issues during his 118mph trap run at the strip, he's taken down/ran with a few cars trapping higher than 118 iirc
anyways lol @ this thread. Internet is serious business.
It's funny because i love the boss and 5.0, and i drive a ls3 vette and love that too. It's great that they can all make good power, sound awesome, and imho look good doing all of the above. I drool everytime i hear a local black '13 5.0 drive by my office, it looks and sounds incredible.

Because i drive a Ford now. Everything gets turned around on me as the bad guy. Im not even arguing defending Fords but thats what they see. I could careless what they make on a dyno half way across the world. All i care about is what mine makes on the dyno I use and how the car performs. What Im arguing is the recipe for 500whp in a stock bottom end ls1. Everyone is under the impression its easy to do....and its not. Of course its doable... but its not easy. The few people that have made it...say its hard. Yet all the guys with H/C/I cars that dont make anything close to 500whp.... say its easy to make it. I just think its funny. The best part is the person who is die hard defending how easy it is to make 500whp on a H/C ls1.... hasnt made 500whp...but its easy.

In fact, its quite the opposite; I convinced my friend to buy a 13' GT instead of a 370z. I have huge respect for my friends 331 stroker which is pretty fast with nitrous on top of it.
The point of this thread was to respond to show to those guys that 500rwhp is very doable in ANY LSx platform. They didnt believe, I just showed the vids/threads exemple and that aint good enough for them. Then a bunch of excuses followed. Even PatG isnt good enough for them!!
Even with wheel hop, its still what he ran. My first time out with my old combo, street tires, stock gearing, and the y pipe was banging the floor giving, which was simulating a knock to the pcm(fuel cut off of 1sec), crappy 2.2 0-60foot and ran 12.4@116mph. That was my first run ever on a track. Then I beat a 05' Viper on a roll and a 911 turbo 09'. With a FAST intake I beat a Nissan GTR. Street and track are2 different world. Evan had good kills but nothing that would scare a well thought LS1 with 4:10 and a violent cam with nice heads, unlike my very mild build.

Its funny because 2 of my friends have modified foxbody and another friend a 13' GT and I never got into any argument with em or never said anything bad about their car.

And posting dyno videos of cars making 500whp doesnt prove anything. I could throw any car on a mustang dyno and make it say 1000whp. What i can say DOES make 500whp... is the ws6 that goes 10.3 at 132. That is an example of a 500whp car. I know all about that car.. its awesome. One of my favorite lsx cars. But even the builder/owner says it was NOT easy to do.

I never built a complete h/c ls1. I bought it this way. Just added a FAST to it and nitrous.
My ls2 build was to replace my blown engine at minimal cost. My cam was bought for my old engine but blew up before install. I didnt have the money to throw at ported TFS/AFR heads and buy a custom cam in the 23x/24x range. So I kept my 230-236 and went the L92 heads route. I couldnt go bigger because PTV is an issue with LS2 and LS3 heads.
That sums it pretty good. Plus I dont wanna change gear and prefer to rev no more than 6800 to avoid valvetrain fast wear. I opted for a good setup that will provide plenty of torque, good manners and reliability. I didnt want to change everything, didnt have the money too, so thats the choice I made. I might get my intake ported and play get cutout so I could end up around 480-490rwhp. I could wait on a very cool day and brag about it on the internet after. But I prefer to be the underdog that beats the hero run guy on the street.
So yeah Im not at 500rwhp but that was never my goal. But you gotta say that for lazy h/c combo that wasnt even supposed to go together, aint that bad heh?
Everything is explained why Im not at 500rwhp. I dont have to be at this level of hp to expose facts about it. Like you needed to be at 550rwhp to tell about it.

Youre right... my car wouldnt beat a well thought out big cammed/big dollar headed LS1 car right now. I 100% agree with that. But i NEVER said my car would. **** it has a catback, air intake, tune lol. We arent talking about that though. That was never the arguement. The arguement was what it takes to get 500whp out of an LS1. And like i said about Pat Gs 500whp recipe. We carbon copied on my buddies car...it made 455whp. But the car was fast. The only thing different was the dyno.
And posting dyno videos of cars making 500whp doesnt prove anything. I could throw any car on a mustang dyno and make it say 1000whp. It wasnt easy to do it because this was a long time ago: stock head casting, fast 92 and 1 3/4 headers...today theres a bunch of better headers, heads(cartek heads rocks though) aftermarket casting, 102mm fast, 102mm MAF.
Its easier now because of those pioneers.
Pretty sure they say it was tough to do it in a M6 cars and tune he hell out of it for the track!!

Yes. And I talked to them. The designer of their 5.0 SC. Had a friend that put is in caintact. And was tod car would be lucky to make 585whp maxing the blower out on E85 from the desinger and lead tech of theirs. There blowers do great from what I seen on GM cars if only want 575whp and below.
