Big Single Supra *Vid
Me and a couple friends are out at a local car meet. My friend (has a chipped Y2K M5) talks up a race with a T3/T4 Hybid Civic with a 100 shot. He asks me if i'll take the thrid lane and i agree. On our way out, this supra that was sitting in the back all by himself follows us out. He proceeds to get behind me. We all go to the spot, and proceed to waste the civic bad from a 40 punch. The civic didnt even wait for honks, just took off, and before 2 seconds had past i was by him and leaving. So then we make the u-turn and i hear the trademark big single WAAAAA PSH. I am not pleased with this. Now i have to deal with big brother. All 3 of us line up again from a 50 roll. Using the clutch i launch out on him about a car in 2nd. I hit third, i can hear that damn thing spooling hard, but hes not along side me.....i nail fourth and the noise isnt getting louder, i look back and see me walking from him ever so slightly all the way to about 150 when we shut down.
We did it again just to make sure it wasnt a fluke. Both times on video.

...and while you're at it... let's see the video of his engine bay 1) to see if it's even a single turbo Supra, and if so, 2) to see the size of the single turbo (because there are plenty of "small singles" as well.
That "trademark single WAAAA PSH" ... could have just been a loud aftermarket blowoff valve... nothing more. That sound is no indication that he's got a "big single" under there.
...Musclemonte - why would you make a generalization like that about a particular car owner (in this case, a Supra owner)? Makes no sense... especially since the post did not clearly articulate anything factual about the person.

it certainly is.... especially since I own a TT Supra which is essentially BPU (including the stock turbos) which pulled a 117 MPH trap in the 1/4.... [Assuming you were being sarcastic there, Iv_z28].
So now where are those videos, Venkman?

Except this particular run looked like it was turbo hyb(r)id Civic vs Y2K M5 vs Supra.

If I Remember Correctly,
Most Supra big single turbo cars(T60-88) w/o upgraded fuel system are at around 500 at the wheels......Since you're a F-body driver, I can't call bs......but it is sketchy. If you car only trapped 114 1/4, that puts you around......350ish hp. Are you spraying in the vid?? A car with 350rwhp and a little spray, I'd fully believe you.
Either:
A) You're spraying and don't want anyone else to know
B) That supra has some SERIOUS tuning issues
So,
I got to go with B. I believe you as you've been pretty straight up, and you're car doesn't act like a Sprayed car. Also, Supra's are notorious for being very finicky. Either way, the video doesn't lie.
Good Kill!!
