12' GT500 vs. Kawasaki ZX6
A friend of mine at work has a 96 or so ZX6 with couple mods on it. We were talking and decided to throw a few fun runs together after work. I got my brother to ride up and be my cameraman(more on that later).. So I am 1 passenger 185lbs, me and my fat 3800lb Shelby.
Long story short, did a few 40-130mph rolls. I honked them off, and each time I pulled 3-4 cars on him at least and still pulling by the time we let off. Was fun... adrenaline pumping, and of course, because we were in Mexico, we did not get arrested for racing on a closed highway with zero traffic
I am trying to process the vids now, and will post them shortly, or tomorrow. Got good vid on the hit, but when my brother went to video the side mirror shot, the camera blurred on the runs..so he will have to practice more video cameraing with me in the future. I will also be purchasing a GoPro3 Silver edition to get some good vids as the nice weather starts hitting more.
Also, noticed the car was pulling timing at the top of 3rd gear at 6k... need to datalog it again and see what's going on... could have been heat soak.
Here is the video, I only have the first two runs...the last two were too blurry to worry about processing. They were same results as the first two.

Bike was a 96 ZX6 with a couple mods.
You didn't miss anything... because it's impossible for a car to ever beat a bike.
Another guy at work has a Kaw 636. Trying to set something up with him... maybe it will be a closer race.

You definitely have the weight advantage. I am trying to find ways to cut weight off my car. They have front and rear bumper support brackets for mine which will cut 24lbs.. plus I have 15x10's for the rear and will go with 17x4.5s up front... should cut a good amount of weight there.. I have heard near 100lbs rotating mass.. but not sure exactly.

Yeah, I figure the 636 being right with me, or maybe slight edge... or maybe I will win.. never know. Got to datalog and find out why it was pulling timing top of third though.. I had to short shift into 4th.

I had an 06' GSXR600 and I believe my car would take it too. Will have to upgrade my supercharger etc before I try to play with 750- bikes.

good kill but i dont see you taking down a stock well riden gsxr 600 with a good rider. My buddies 128mph 403ci SS lost to PSMs bone stock 07 gsxr 600 on the roll. Unless your car traps north of 130... a 600 will more then likely beat you, especially from 40mph

SS actually makes 530whp in this race
Heres another video of that same 600 doing some racing along with my buddies 750. Both are legit riders. The white GT500 in this video that races the 600 made 612whp

And my Shelby would kill his GTO on the spray.. so that's one measure I am going by, but alas that is only a benchrace.. so I will have to wait and see when I run into one, or try the 636 at work. Either way, it will be fun.
Edit: Also, more mods are coming... so hopefully I can creep into 750-liter bike territory eventually.

haha thanks
Im able to take down most riders on 600s with my car. There are that few percentile that really now how to manipulate a bike though, and will pull me well. As far as liter bikes are concerned. Unless your racing them up to high mph... you need a car that can trap well over 140. New liter bikes are in the 150 trap area. Theyre just in a different league all together.
Yeah, I guess rider weight, etc comes into play too. When I had my 600, riding home from the track one day, my brother had an 04 GTO with exhaust/cai, and 100 shot. We rolled off from 60mph to over 140 and he had me by a couple cars. I could ride my bike too.

Good kill op, any track times?
Evan, while this is entirely true it is also entirely rider dependent. Most 600s won't beat up a 128mph car like that.
