Default 2010 SS vs 2006 z06

My SS you should all know what it has. 630rwhp~ 600rwtq~

vs

06 c6z06 with cam, ported heads, headers, bolt on, tune

We decided to do a mid-high 2nd gear roll since I lack traction. He has some DRs on so he is up and gone in low 2nd while I just stay spinning.

We got 2 very clean runs in. I had a 200lbs passenger he had no one in car.

Three beeps we stayed door to door going into 4th he started pulling a bit, when we let off he was about 3/4 - 1 car ahead of me. I have to admit though every shift I would gain about 1/4 a car on him and then he would regain the 1/4 car throughout the gear.

Second run we went a little lower... Low 2nd. I someone got traction spinning forward and we stayed door to door, hit 3rd and he was about half a car in front, hit 4th and he took about half car or so. About 1 car.

Not bad for a 5th gen with about 4300lbs in it. z06 driver weights about 180-200lbs. I think if my passenger would've been in the z it would've been neck and neck until high speeds. ******* z is cheating.

PS automach you're car is slow.

Considering that ZO6 probably makes close to 600 rwhp you did really good! Nice job!

It makes significantly less than that. Our octane down here kills us. I believe he makes somewhere in the low to mid 500s. Probably 510-540 range. His cam isn't very big because it's his daily.

If it was anywhere near 600rwhp it would've raped me. 600rwhp@3300-3400lbs vs 630rwhp@4100-4300lbs = gg 5th gen.

Who knows though. Dyno numbers are end of day don't mean **** lol.

Not enough info. What brand/octane gas were you using and exactly how full was your tank? Also, when was the last time that gas station got a shipment of new gas? What was the tire pressure in each tire and do you use air or nitrogen? How full was your washer fluid tank? How much change was in the cup holder (do you use change down there or is everything bought with livestock/women)? When was the last time you and your passenger ate and what did you have? When was the last time you moved your bowels? What was the exact density altitude at the time and place of the start of your race and at the end?

I have my bench race calculator, protractor, and pocket protector at the ready so I can tell you what should have happened.

87 octane. Brand I'm not sure. Some Venezuelan **** i'm sure.
The gas station had changed gas at around 8pm and race was at 11.
I use air. Front I had 40psi and on rear I had 29.
Washer fluid tank is empty.
No change in cup holder. Recently cleared it out since car is not daily. (We sometimes use women but they won't stfu so livestock is better b/c they don't bitch)
We had eaten roughly an hour before. I had chicken/meat on stick and he had a hamburger. Z06 owner had eaten a piece of skirt steak. We had all drank around 3 beers.
I moved my bowel before leaving my house around 730pm.
Start of the race was approx 20ft above sea level and end was approx 25ft above sea level. Both runs were next to the ocean.

I was suprised you stayed that close...but the mild cam explains it...plus you may be a better driver...that driver MOD is important the higher the HP gets..IMO

He's not bad tbh but he sometimes has trouble with 3rd because he says there's some weird thing in the z that is has like a 3rd and a half lol. Funny as hell when he explains it but he def. doesn't power shift out of fear of smoking the clutch.

Even with the power difference I think the close race sounds like the Z06driver needed some work. Good race though.
