Default civic vs c6z

My gto would of had nothing for this race.

Before anyone says anything. I knew this was a losing battle for my little civic. I had no expectations to be even close. It was just a friendly run, so why back down?

Mods for the civic.. 1.8 non vtec(stock engine), greddy turbo kit(18g)@14psi, 3in exhaust, 6puck

C6z... stock

First run he left traction control on

We made 2 other runs after that, but no video. We didn't have a camera car or go pro.

Both of the other runs he won. I kept hitting boost cut and he would pull out more. No reason to keep in it after 2-2.5 cars.

Just curious..how much Hp would that 1.8L Non-Vtec motor make on 14psi? Maybe 225-250Hp?
I know the Civic does not weigh much but i could see this outcome against the C6z...Just not enough power to overtake the Vette.
Nice run though and good try. No harm in seeing where your car stands.

No hp # for the car.. actually prob 240-260fwhp.. who knows..weighs 2400lbs with driver.

Yeah i knew the outcome before it happened. I don't mind losing. I don't have alot tied up in this little car. The engine in it i paid 200 bucks for. But this isn't your typical, put a big turbo in a low displacement civic. The 18g does great on this thing.

14lbs on that that turbo is probably in the 260 range. I made 254 @ 12lbs on the same kit back in the day. Not nearly enough to play with a C6Z in a stock civic.

i didn't say stock civic.. i said stock engine.

run was just for fun anyways.

my gto has pulled several stock 5.0's and some modded.. my gto has nothing for this car from a roll.

this same car on 10psi went 13.6@112.. leaving off of idle and shifting early through first. Video in the drag section.

not what you said bro , the comment above my post , just thought the wording was amusing , I don't doubt that you can be fast in a Honda but imagine that turbo in your gto

Turbos on lsx motors blow. Don't do it, it makes negative horsepower and automatically changes your sexual disposition to fancy that of men.
