Default Cammed Transam vs Cammed trans am.

said I wasnt gunna race last night but oh well. met a guy, said he had a 224 cam, bolt ons, weight reduction and a six speed. mickey thompsons on tt2s.
My car is a 231/235 cam, 3800 stall, bolt ons. toyo 315s. aired them down a little which was nice. so we line up from a dig, I got better jump, held him off untill i let off around 120 by about a car. Then we lined up from a 25-30 roll. even hit, I pulled up a half car he pulls back, I maybe have him by a fender, but he was creeping around on my around 120-130 when I let off. probably my best race ever. two good running t/a's.

I thought my car was faster on paper and couldnt realize why his car was so fast with the baby cam and less power. So I asked him a few more questions and he said his rear gears are....not stock. so im guessing 4.11s or something. My 3.23s are hurting me. oh well. I know a few people had videos so ill see if I could get one. all in all awesome night met some good dudes.

oh I hada 160lb passanger.

If he had weight reduction, a 6-speed, gears, and you held him off from a roll then you did awesome lol! Nice job!

Probably not 4.11's or he's not gonna get to 130 unless he's turning it 7k. Kinda unlikely with a cam only car. Good run

Maybe 3:73s? Either way he was hiding his set up.

Cam may have been bigger then he claimed. And had some gear would be my guess. Nice kill though close races are the best

Sounds like some fun runs, and close races, nice job. No matter what he's really got you edged him out and he's probably thinking about what he could do to get you if you meet up again.

I believe so. His car is super tame for sure. It's quite, no noticeable lope, Etc. My car on the other hand, lopey as hell, true duals dumped, it's loud and rowdy. I kinda like the sleeper aspect. Wonder if I could tone my car down a bit.

He should have steamrolled u from a roll. Did he start in 2nd from the 25 roll? Maybe he needs driver mod too.
Good races though

Steamrolled..? A stalled auto should help him from the low roll. A 50 roll I can see the m6 walk away.

Agreed. My 3800 stall always makes me jump out a car or so. Some people underestimate a good stall.... He started in first. Plus my car puts down more power.

I've pulled a ctsv from a 45 roll, most fast 6 speed cars dont come around on me until 120ish, I feel like gears would help. It just needs to pull harder up top.

Curious if my set up would benefit from a six speed swap.

This is a video of the dig, pretty even start. I was a car out when I let off, cause I didn't know the road, and he wasn't gaining at all. It looks like he's ahead at the end, but I hit the brakes and he just kinda rolled past.

Yes. Lol. Nah don't get me wrong, I love six speeds, but the stall makes a car just as fast and more consistant. I'd only swap to a six speed if I could find a good deal on a swap.

PSM trapped like 124 with the same cam/mods as what you're saying this guy had.
Probably wasn't hiding anything, and in fact, the car sounds slower than it shoulda been.
Good kill.

So his car should have been that much faster than mine just cause it was a six speed with gears? Although my Car has a converter and a bigger cam? Lol

Stalled autos are great for collecting trophies from the bracket racing tournament at your local track.
If you're into seeing who has the faster car by roll racing then mod for mod the M6 gets the nod.
