Question... Did both of these cars know they were going to be lining up that day? Is there some sort of reason the 5.0 is not on its 'street setup', suspension-wise?
Good kill to the ZL1. I'm sure it'll be a better run once the 5.0 can hook up... but for that specific race, just seems like everyone here is on some...

So the mustang actually hooked and ate his lunch with 100hp less.
can't wait to see rematch and 5.0 actually hook. And the zl1 not say he is heat soaking..
Now we know why he not turning up boost on a built motor 5.0. No traction.

Out of curiousity... what are these "settings" that make it hook so horribly on the street but make it better on the track? I have strange shocks on there softest setting currently... on there stiffest setting, it helps it hook better both track and street by slowing rebound down to keep the weight transfer to the back. It sounds to me like his suspension is setup bad to begin with and the only reason its hooking at the track is a prepped surface, and the only reason it hooks on the street in street trim settings is because its actually weight transferring better. Sounds to me like the car might need some instant center work.

I know with my Pfadt shock on the street most of the time I have them set on stuff because I like taking turns. If I hit it from a roll it will still hook but from a dig it won't. Set of soft the weight transfer from a roll is sick and from a dig it just goes as long as the burnout is good and its prepped.

Like I said before, if you watch the video of the 5.0 racing the Whippled SS, it hooks from a 10-15 roll just fine. And for like the 4th time, when we went back home and had the shocks set back to what they were before the track, it hooked awesome.
