The Cobra Crowd

I put together a compilation of some old footage I had of some local Cobras. Enjoy! :swing:

And also heat soak, I love that as well. If you lose the first race, just keep running those termi's until you walk them like cavaliers :D

Agreed! majority of Cobra drivers I've seen/raced seem to have a long delay between their shifts. Not sure if this is because the placement of the shifter sucks or that they can't drive worth a damn.

BUT the guy in that blue Cobra has got some skill for sure.

The only two that threw me for a loop in this vid is the H/C/I Sprayed LS1 and the 402 Vette losing to ported Cobras. I don't know much about 402s, but I do know H/C LS1s are a pretty tight run for a ported/pulley Eaton. With spray on top of that, shouldn't even be close.

Cool vid though man, some sick cars and A-1 editing!

Damn never knew ported cobras trap 130+ MPH!

My guess is that the blue cobra has an N2MB WOT Box which lets you No Lift Shift. Seems to be more common nowadays since they are cheap.

I know on my car, the clutch won't disengage under W.O.T, my next clutch will be an RXT and I've been told that they have no issues disengaging under W.O.T.

Dude can drive, so that does help.

This must be in West Texas/Eastern New Mexico where the altitude is like 4,000 Feet. I know this because I lived in Clovis New Mexico for 3 years. Because of that altitude and commonly 6500-7000DA, N/A cars do not run to well up there.

There is no way a H/C/I 100 shot Camaro SS LS1 is going to be door to door/ losing to a ported eaton cobra with boltons at sea level; unless poor driver of course. At sea level that cobra would be lunch meat against that same Fbody. All in all good runs for sure. Forced Induction is nice to have at high altitude.

No need for a WOT box for that.
