Default H/c Spray ls2 C6 Vs Blown C6

So this is basically how these races came to be...

come to bar, talk mad ****, try to bet 2k on a race, duck out for months on the race, get blasted today, make excuse to why you lost, fix said prob, get blasted again

This guy drive by my house and rev's his car and rev's it every time I pass him going the opposite way or floors his car when he passes my house...Well he was finally flagged down and handed his *** today.

In the bar he said his car has a 404 and a D1 and on 8lbs it made 760 and it is now on 15lbs....Clearly he was lying about his set up or he just dosnt know what he has.

Here is a picture of said cars engine bay...

Now onto the races. first race he said he "blew a plug wire" but got it fixed.

So we raced again....

That's definitely not a D1. It looks like a vortech s trim blower and those are only good for a little over 650 if you can get it there. They make a little more on LS7's but its a little blower.

I have no idea what one it is but when he was talking to me at the bar I figured he didn't have any of it.

Thats the first thing I asked him when he pulled in my drive way is how much money he wanted to run for and he said none.

Yep, Vortech. IMO all blower cars need 390 gears. Blowers cant match the "hit" of nitrous.

Yeah it is a Vortech. You can see it on the aftercooler to the left side of the photo. It is a small head unit too!

I do agree with them not being able to match the initial hit of a nitrous car but if you are in the right gear in your powerband it won't get out far. 3.90's would be ideal for a 1/4 mile car but that's about it.

You are pretty much dead nuts on....I have installed 3 sets of 390's in blower vettes, and every single one of them are happy as hell, but anything above a 40ish roll, and they are a gear too high.

Don't think that they would have helped the fella in the vids, but looking under his hood, he has a questionable setup to start with. Shoulda had an ECS or A@A setup, cant tell if it has Meth either. I would venture to say that it has 14 degrees, and a IAT table that pulls a **** ton of timing, and 342 gears. Excellent for dyno's, but in the real world, an underachiever. I pretty much have a tune repository and damn near every stock shortblock blower car I see has 14 degrees, meth or not. Amazing.
