I didn't read the thread.

You sure that 5.0 isn't just on a base 6psi setting? If anything i figured he would of pulled on you pretty good with that setup. Good race though

With 13-15psi on a TT setup will be nasty honestly. Literally 145-148mph trap car making an easy 800whp on pump 93. Something the stock engine will not hold at all even on race gas. On race gas your limit is about 700-750whp for a ticking time bomb. Pump anything over 650whp is a ticking time bomb.

You realize I have a Vette now right.

But facts are facts. A TT on 13-15lbs would rape this vette

I don't give a **** what you drive. ANY thread that pertains to the 5.br0, you come wading in, 5.br0 nuts in your mouth, talking madness. Seriously, you don't have to defend it's honor. You're just as bad as Hitman/GTR threads.

And no, facts are not facts. Since when does 13-15lbs of boost automatically mean X amount of power? Not all turbos/turbo setups are created equal and there will be efficiency differences. So, your blanket "facts" statement is wrong.

Get over yourself.

Who the **** are you? The next gm nut hugging **** to come in here? Ohio is right, a STOCK motor 5.0, with TT on 13-15lbs would make 750+. There is no efficiency differences, it has been done over and over again, when you're talking about a stock motor, and the same kit. There is no difference that would account for a 200+/- rwhp difference.

Guy either lied about the 5.0's boost, or OP lied to make his car seem better than it is.

Either way 5.0 lost, big deal.

Friend of mine put a stock motor in his '12 for ***** and grins while his built motor was being freshened up. It lasted just a couple pulls on 15psi.

that's a helluva lot of money to waste just to see how long it would last. What does a 5.0 longblock cost? Gotta be around $7,000 right? Or was it a, umm, "questionably sourced" motor?

good point, probably wasn't on that much boost.
here's the facts, the Mustang 130 in the 1/4, I made 500whp yesterday.
Bench racers, speculate...

130 trap for the stang is 580-620whp depending on stall/da/weight.

You made 500 with the same shot? Do you have any track times?

Also honestly most don't know how to shift the auto 5.0 on the street. They either leave in drive and try nail it. Just takes to long to kick down

or they try shift them selves. Either shifting early or hitting limiter.

Key is to start in gear you want nail it then shift to drive. Any spinning will cause it to bang limiter or shift early still if trans tune isn't perfect.

Thats wasting money..lol...had buddy made 2 passes on 10lbs and it blew. One make 2 passes on 11lbs it blew. Then one do 3 highway rolls at 650 and blew. All on pump gas. I honestly got lucky.

Guy bought my old 5.0 just went 10.8@130 on the street making roughly 640whp on the heavy 20s letting out after the 1000ft mark. Trying not to get booted for no cage. Next weekend put bigs littles same 640 it went 10.2@134. He's hoping to put race tune in with race gas mixed in to get 9s. Race tune made 727whp on bigs littles. 11lbs boost.
