2001 TA vs 2004 stang GT
So I have a 2001 ls1 with air lid and flowmaster exhaust. never dyno'd Still has the flat y pipe. I know leave it alone. Other guy had a 2004 GT mustang. He has full exhaust, 3.55 gears, and a frost tune. Says he makes 315 to the wheel. We take off in first not very hard then we hit it together. Maybe I had the hit a touch. first was even, end of second I was 1 car ahead and by mid third was almost 2 ahead. could tell he backed off. Does that sound about right? have not raced many stangs. Live in socal so its very risky. Any thought would be cool

IIRC, JamRWS6 dynoed 333rwhp w/ just a lid in his '02 WS6 6spd. MIGHT have also had shorty headers, but I seem to remember it being just the lid. He's the one I saw run 12.99 @ 110mph with just the lid and SFCs. 2.15 60'.

It just takes so damn much for those modular 2 valves to perform well that's it's really almost not worth it lol. Your best bet with one of those is to go straight for blower and call it good lol. Case in point, mine made 285 rwhp with full bolt ons, cams, gears, and tune, and still with all that it was a drivers race with my buddy's stock 04 Vette. The old PI headed 2 valves seem to do much better in a short race (maybe due to weight, gearing, etc) but suffered bad on the top end. My cams helped with that and with a 3.90 gear, but it still wasn't great
