Some of our fleet has had issues with cam phasers, lots of various sensors, turbos...ect.
The stealership now says the engine is shot at 70000km due to sludge. Even though it had an engine flush and oil change prior to the last engine warranty work. (turbos + intercooler I think)
Ford is now denying warranty until we can prove all maintanence records.

What kinda issues? For the first time in my life I was actually considering getting a ford truck with the ecoboost for a DD but the dealer wouldn't work with me (wanted a barebones regular cab short bed 1/2 ton 2wd with the ecoboost). Starting to think I made a smart move by walking away when I couldn't get what I wanted. More info please!
First things first, the brakes on mine were warped at 25k miles. I drive it no different than I did my 1/2 ton chevy's of which I had 3 that never had had brakes done in over 100k.
It ran like a scolded dog for the first 55k, but now, timing is retarded after you go WOT for more than 3 seconds. Now, it only runs 87 b/c it's a work truck, but regardless, the truck will cut out after 3 seconds of WOT.
Other than that, it's a pretty good truck. It quiet, it's smooth, and it's real roomy. But, if it was my money hands down, no doubt, I'd go Silverado. The fact that all warranty is out now (at 65k), and the issues are more frequent, makes me a little twitchy about buying one on my dime.
