This car also DIDNT have an LS6 intake. It had an LS1 intake. The difference between the manifolds had bigger gains then the difference between the worst and best catback.
Im not taking sides here. Im just simply saying what Ive learned through the years of having both GM/Ford cars. If i had to label an LS1 4th gen with a round-about ET. I would call them 13.0 cars. He had a lot of passes that day that went from 13.0-13.2... but he had 2 passes that went 12.9. His 12.9 was also a 1.77 60 ft. He actually never duplicated that 60ft again even on a DR because he didnt want to break the rear end. And IMO, a 1.77 is stellar for a 10 bolt. Thats about as good as youre gonna get.

The Evan Smith test????? Nough said My car was $29 k. The same basic car started @ 21k. Could you option a Mustang to get to a crobro???? NO. It was a different model that started at a much higher price. They were not that imprssive bud.....face it. Even if they were furd made 300 of the. That means 300 of you turd furd guys could have a good run with us......while the rest of you got drug. I'll take those odds. You miss me? I know you furd guys like to post glory runs. But up until very recently just about every furd I have seen under performs at the track when compared to the mags. The gm stuff I have been around typically over performs. There were other reasons too. But they could've come up with something other than that junk *** SSR to fill in the gap. GTO's should've been a Chevelle. GM paid the price for not making a Camaro.

And didn't Evan run a 12.3 or 12.4 in an '03 Cobra? We can either use hero runs, average times, or times with a good driver in good conditions. Don't put a hero run against an average, or even an average against good/good Doug.

Bottom line is what it really comes down to... is the driver. It is and always will be the most important part of how well a car does or does not run. Heres a good comparison for ya...
This car made 50whp more then that red one did. And this was his ONLY pass to hit 11.9. There was nothing wrong with the car or a bad setup. Both cars on the same dyno... the black one made more power everywhere (custom cam with same bolt ons). But the drive difference made it extremely EXTREMELY close... even on the roll.

Stock lid is garbage compared to the slp black wing. Most catbacks offer more power than stock.
I have gone 13s in many stock 96-98 Cobras. Mike Smith,Bob Cosby,Barry Shepard,N20 Pete ,Mod father,Jerry Green,Evan Smith went faster than me. If you cant run 13s in one you can't drive or the car is messed up. I have never seen a 12 second stock Ls1 Fbody ever.
I have gone 13s in many stock 96-98 Cobras. Mike Smith,Bob Cosby,Barry Shepard,N20 Pete ,Mod father,Jerry Green,Evan Smith went faster than me. If you cant run 13s in one you can't drive or the car is messed up. I have never seen a 12 second stock Ls1 Fbody ever.
