I'm assuming you're a grown man...you are the one sounding like a pre-pubescent kid comparing the Corvette to a Mustang. If you think the Camaro is out-performed by the Mustang right now (which in general, it is) just admit it like a man and move on. Ford has nothing to compete with the Corvette right now, so take solace in that if you must. Still pretty sad though. What does what I own have anything to do with it?

Yeah, maybe they should name their next motor the same as something that's already existed years ago to make people as confused as possible, like the LT1. I'd say LS6, too, but for some reason I don't think that was just considering the motor. Too lazy to research it right now. The code names are kinda goofy but they help differentiate between the motors. What I wanna know is why GM didn't make an LS8 or (modern) LS5? They got 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 7, 9.
HiO I've been waiting for so long for us to agree on something again. This is that moment.

I, much like irunelevens, was confused as to what you were comparing. Yes, the deck of the 5.4 is taller than the the 4.6 to allow for a longer stroke. I thought that our argument was with them needing to sleeve a modular block to increase displacement...which they don't, thanks to that spiffy spray-bore schtuff. The 5.8 coyote on the other hand, is possible, but does require resleaving.

Thanks for the laughs guys. It was asked earlier about the future displacement of the 5.0...
Just a tid bit of info for you guys the mustang 5.0 will not grow in displacement thru model year 2018. (I communicate with the Ford powertrain team on a daily basis)
Yes the new alpha chassis camaro will have an 6.2L LT1. and yes it will be lighter, probably not as much as everyone was hoping though. Look at the curb weight of a loaded RWD cadillac ATS and add a few pounds.
The most exciting thing happening for the 6th gen camaro will be the new ZL1 which will be one particularly nasty sporting a LT4 under the hood. (see C7 Z06)
Carry-on....

That sounds pretty neat. You'll have to keep us updated . I wonder why they tooled in DI bosses without intending to use them for so long? Is DI that costly?
