I am grateful that we can still have a Chevy vs ford wars. Imports are coming up fast and we need to be watching them close. I Own a 99 Trans Am (LS1) and a 2014 5.0 and my trans am would get destroyed racing my stock 5.0. But with that said I could make the TA destroy the 5.0. Street Racing like that is dangerous maybe pick an area with not so many other cars. Be Safe all and Happy Hunting
We fight over whose car is faster in stock form but in most cases, people who purchase these cars (LSx, 5.0, 392 etc), usually modify them to some extent so they have enough when they have a chance encounter on the street or decide to go to the track on a Sunday for some fun.
It is all about who has what done when the race goes down. Bragging afterwards about how your car is "supposed" to be faster from the factory, just shows your butt hurt.
There is no doubt a mild/full bolt-on LS1 would hand a mildly-modded 5.0 its *** on the street assuming a good drive is at the wheel. Me personally, I do not care where my car is ranked in the food chain from the factory. I continue to modify it so I can beat some fool that thinks he is supposed to beat this particular car according to factory specs or magazines. Isn't this what it is all about even from the very beginning of drag racing in the USA?

No wonder.....
9.2 @ 77mph... My bone stock LS1 would have puppy kicked your trans am (went 8.5 @ 85mph), for that matter my bone stock LT1 A4 did 9.1 @ 79mph stock. Fix the ******* thing.

EXACTLY. I like having the "slower factory car" because that's when people come up expecting it to be slow and then get blown away always the best feeling when you wipe some guy in a BMW or Mercedes and your car costs $40k-$70k less

Yeah but Heater wants to talk about his "supercharged 4v v8" of course it's going to be fast. Let me put a nice whipple on mine, set the PSi to be the same and see how that goes of course with me having an aluminum block it would probably blow up

I think that it was more a reference to how much of a blow-out it would be, just like your car vs. a bolt-on 5.0.

It's funny, you flip something around on somebody in mockery and people get upset and call you butt hurt.
It just blows my mind that somebody beats someone that they easily out class and they just about break their arms patting themselves on the back. See that $hit on here all the time, go ahead and blame it on the Ford guys.
