This ls1 had at least exhaust, was an a4 car, ss package, drag wheels / tires, and still was mustering 8.5s... And then not to mention half the people on here who own stock cars but talk **** about how "shitty" 2vs and early 4vs are.. and 2 random mustangs at this event drug every ls car there.. Wont even mention the '10 GT500.
Ok 1st of all chill out bro, I wasn't attacking you, your car or ford's. Don't be so mad. I had a 2v GT before I got my Camaro and I really liked the car. Still love seeing modded 2v's doing work on here. Still a secret ford lover at heart.
Im a gearhead. Love all things fast. I don't hate.

2nd the post comes across to Chevy guys as you are trying to troll for ford on a chevy website so that's the only reason I said anything and the only reason you are getting so much grief. It was just friendly advice.

I'm going to the track Friday. I'll make sure to update with all the spectacular times most of the local Mustang guys run. If we're lucky my buddy's 4v that's knocking on 5s will be there and I might actually have something positive to post.

Fixed!!

By the way im talking the 11.99 or faster lanes. Good lord who would even mention the slow car lanes.

Wait... This was a true story?

The CTS-V is fast... V6 fif gens aren't...

funny thing is there was a mustang that would run a 7.6 8th mile when i had my t/a at the track. i was running 8.1-8.3 depending on traction. only thing is when i blew by at the 1000 foot mark he had nothing left. old fords are quick, not fast.

All that says to me is it was geared for the 1/8th mile, not the 1/4 mile.
