2000 Z28 vs 2008 GT500 Hey there guys. First off I just bought my car a week ago. It's a 2000 z28 with an automatic trans. It's got an slp cat back exhaust. Which sounds amazing! An slp lid, and the previous owner told me that he gutted the cats, removed the torque management from the tune. And took out the throttle body screen. She seems to run really well for having 150,000+ miles in her. Anyway...about my race...
This past Saturday I was out for a cruise with this chick I met off of POF. I had just filled up my tank with some 87 octane. A little afterwards I came across a GT500 with 2 younger guys in it. I just ignored them at first but they kept stalking us and pacing me. Trying to get me to race. They kept snickering at me also. I wasn't really in a hurry to race my new car. But finally I got sick of it so I waited until there was an open stretch. I put the shifter in "D". Then I slowly sunk the pedal to the floor with them right beside me. The GT500 was already in what sounded like 2nd gear at the 45 mph speed that we were going. Once I reached wide open throttle the GT500 hit it at about the same time. So we're still both side by side each other and both our exhausts are roaring! To my surprise I started to pull away slightly around 65-70 mph. The GT500 shifted to 3rd and kept falling back slowly but at the same rate. I hit 3rd gear around 90 mph and the GT500s nose was at about my rear wheel. It stayed right there until about 105-110 mph when my rpms started getting up towards red line. And by 125 mph his nose was probably 5-10 feet behind my back bumper. So after we hit the brakes and got back down to safer speeds, the passenger in the GT500 asked me what I had done to my car. I said it just has an air filter and cat back exhaust. He looked shocked! Not going to lie, I was a little shocked myself. He told me to pull over. He wanted to look under my hood. And i bet he was shocked again when he didn't even see a set of headers. I told him the car must have been treated pretty well its whole life haha. So we chatted for a few more minutes, and I complimented his car, then parted ways. Pretty cool guys. Oh and his car was stock besides a cat back he said. So yeah. That was my dose of adrenaline for the weekend.

Come on man the amount of BS you speak you wont man up and say where you are at? If you are gonna troll at least back up your talk some. We have guys on the west,south, and east coast hell even a guy from Canada. What you gonna tell us you from Alaska or Hawaii

A V6 GT500? Haha okay...I saw the engine of his car. Definitely a V8 with a big blower on it. And I know the difference between a V6 and V8 exhaust note.
But I'm sure that you're just teasing.
