Magnacharged GTO vs Procharged Vette/GTR/Lightning VIDEOS My friend recently picked up a hell of a car. I don't know all the mods, but I do know it's a 2004 Pontiac GTO, LS1 with stock bottom end with a magnacharger, cam, full bolt-on's, headers, LM1 exhaust, and a tune. The car was dyno'd on 19lbs of boost and put down over 650WHP. My friend has had this car for about 3-4 weeks now and is still getting the hang of racing it.
Well on our way to the drag strip I was riding shotgun and we were going out with some local car guys, one of them has a new GTR, did 3 roll races from 70MPH. His GTO killed the GTR on every race. I guess kill isn't the right word, the GTR was about a car behind and hung there all the way up till 150 when we let off.
The track was a different story. Have a local 1/8 mile track, and traction is a big issue on this GTO which still has street tires. The GTR destroyed him with a 7.7 in the 1/8 mile. My friend got some good practice in and earned some respect on the roll race with his new GTO. Car is LOUD as ***** with that LM1, cam and LT's on though. Very well built and fun car though, can't deny. Here's a few videos I took from that night.

is there a boost gauge in the car? That psi reading is crazy high, and I've never even seen a magnacharged ls car be able to make over 12 psi. Sounds like it runs strong tho, what was done to the gtr?
