Default 02 Camaro SS vs ACR Srt4 swapped Neon

I was called out by a guy from out of town to race his Neon Against my SS so me and a buddy drove down there with our F body's to go race him and both were surprised lol car had full bolt ons (stock Turbo) and a tune my car is still the same as all the other videos stock SLP 345 car with QTP's, going into the race i figured it would be a pretty easy win since ive raced srt4's with same mods before and never had a issue with them but i never knew the ACR Neon's only weigh 2600lbs compared to the heavy srt4 lol we did a 30ish roll since he was on street tires barely held him to about half a car lol he was really cool though, he also raced my friends bolt on t/a and beat it by about a car. here's vid of our race

no doubt it was lol i was expecting to at least jump out on him in the beginning but he was right there the whole time i was like "oh ****" lol only reason i held him was because he'd shift a bit before i would have to he would fall back a bit lol

the car wasnt stripped it just has no options what so ever he said stock ACR's weigh the lightest i looked them up and from what i can see from the neon forums they start at 2400lbs with no options and 2700 with all the bells and whistles lol so i guess 2600 with the turbo swap seems right

yea thats what i told him too, if it wasnt for him shifting and falling out of boost between gears he would of most likely walked passed me, yea its crazy this car for being what it is runs really strong because my friends t/a just put down 330whp through a auto and i can hold him at my bumper. i guess i got lucky and its just a healthy motor

Good runs! Agreed on the shifting. With some practice/NLS box he will have you. Those Neons can be pretty stout!

Lol, ok that dude has a ported stage 3 turbo, he's on the big srt4 forum, a ported stage 3 turbo is basically a 50-60 trim turbo, with full bolt ons he high 400 low 500, if he's on e85 mid 500hp for sure. If you would have done a dig race both of you would have beat him. Unless he was on slicks or da you guys would have torn him a new one, never roll race a big turbo srt4 unless you have a 3000 pound car or less with 500 plus hp. I use to have a fully built sry4 that made over 600hp I spanked z06 on juice or bolts one all night on a low high roll race, dig race, I had no chance. Look me up on the srt4 forum, 500hpsilversrt4 or even on youtube type in that forum name you'll see my car.

FYI acr was a performance suspension option that dodge offered, the difference in weight that you quoted is a lil off but close, that's the difference in haveing a sunroof or not. Dodge offered has stock stage 1 cars, stage 2 was bigger injector then stage 1 and adjustable wastegate to raise or lower boost manually also the ecu to have a better tune, stage 3 were bigger turbos better ecu tune and bigger injectors then stage 2, all stage's come with a factory wallbro 255.

Ya to had to that you guys really din't do bad, I had a stage 2 srt4 and I ran a Slp SS m6 and on a low roll I'd jump out a car but he'd reel me in so you guys din't do bad, don't even ask about my dig race with that Slp SS, you already know he took me out by buss lanks

I dont think its on the big turbo anymore, pretty sure its on the stock one now. Previous owner had it on the big turbo. if it was anywhere in the 400's he'd rape me at the weight he's at
