The lists you posted on camaro five showed the same 12.7 l99 that he posted before. I really don't see what you were trying to prove by re-posting the lists that prove yourself wrong* *raised eyebrow*. I will be the first GM nut swinger to say. I think stock for stock. It is a drivers race. Automatics. 5.0 all day.

Uncle Phil from this forum ran a 12.14 at Cecil County with street tires in his stock '11 auto base model.
The quickest bone stock time from uncle Phil according to the posts he has on this site is 12.374@114.45. The 12.146 @115.59 was achieved with an sct tune only. That time was improved upon to a 11.955.

Proves me right by posting the 12.77 1LE fast list.

Oh, I definitely know the 1LE is built for the road courses. Very nice handling car. As a total package it is a well thought out package. Have ridden in my buddies car, and he loves the twisties too. He has skerred meh a couple times. He will probably be making a trip to a VIR track day sometime next year.

I came into this thread expecting controversy...man am I disappointed.
The 5.oh won.
We've agreed the 1LE is slower when they're both stock.
MAC posted links to prove islander's point.
I want my money back!

Hero times are only valid if the car is a stock LS1, driven at ATCO in -2000 DA, on stock drag slicks to run 12.9.
Mod for mod the 5th gen loses even worse. I don't see any bolt on 5th gens even close to 10's..

There is a video on here recently of a tune/axle back 5.0 outrunning a C7. That really shouldn't happen either.
I think he was leaning towards suspension/tires and driver mod before adding power to a car that can't hook already. It has nothing to do with the IRS either, the LS3 is just way to powerful!
Nope not what i was suggesting. If you go back and read what you originally replied to I said stock for stock they are a drivers race with the edge going to the 5.0. Which is true.... which you replied that a 1LE would manhandle a 5.0. Now you're saying a 1LE should be able to match or edge out my very average times. So what is it... are they manhandling 5.0s or not?
Define a stock 4th gen.. I've watched many LS cars go 13.3 - 13.5 bone stock in decent air.. 12.9's? No... the ones that do are very rare and anyone who says different has blinders on. I've seen tune/slick M6 5.0's running 11.80's in sea level air, but you don't see me telling you that is the norm.
Ok, I am confused how a 1LE matching a average 5.0 time makes them faster.

Ok i can play this game to. 4200lb 6.1 hemi 12.68 @ 110mph > 12.77 1LE. Whats up with the 4th gen Bros all hyped up over a car that they don't even own? Also make up your mind guy ether 1LE or SS both SLOWER than the 5.0.
