JustAFantaZ Takes on Tx2k15
JustAFantaZ aka PhantaZm here...
Got to drive my little 280Z to Tx2k15 this year and have a lot of fun! The rain held out for three straight, whole nights of action. Thanks to some mechanical and logistical support from the ThirdHonk.com crew once again, I was able to get the car to the right places for a few runs. Shredded belts, mystery rear-end clanking noise, and the threat of rain were big obstacles, but in the end I got down some hahaha
Opponents I lined up with: S/C 5th gen, another 700+ rwhp S/C 5th gen, CTSV coupe, 830rwhp S/C Vette, 700+ awhp GT-R, Novi 2200 Coyote, 912 awhp Evo, black Aventador (he chickened out and exited though lol), mid 9sec 145+ G8
Here's one view of the G8 run for those on FaceBook and 3H has all the rest of the vids...I CAN HARDLY WAIT TO SEE THEM!

My current setup: TT LS3 stroker 427 sleeved by Kotzur Racing and built by Central Texas Motorsports for boost, custom turbo headers and piping done by CG Fabrications and Fuel Injection Specialties of San Antonio, LMR-built T-56, McLeod RXT clutch, John's Cars LS1 swap kit, Infiniti Q-45 3.54:1 short-nose R200 VLSD diff, Chequered Flag Racing stub axles and hubs, Nitrous Outlet plate kit (Currently disconnected), mild streetable custom grind Comp Cams 236/236, twin PTE 6266 snails at 12.5 psi on wastegate springs, Nitto NT01 225s, dyno tuned by FIS on pump 93 and 50/50 meth, 780rwhp on their mustang dyno.
As you can see, SO MUCH room for more power later as needed

Thanks bro
I met up with him at the track and got to see his setup, lots of good stuff I don't have on my setup yet. He had an RV there and stayed afaik, so we didn't get any runs in
Thanks. Even though it ripped 3rd every race and even got a little sideways, as my passenger found out I didn't need to let out to recover. I just drove through that lol
Appreciate it, man. When they told me your car wasn't gonna make it I was bummed.
w00! hell yeah, there's a lot of room for improvement. Me and Tater were even thinking a fresh set of 225s* may have been all that was needed to punch out with some of these tx2k-fast cars instead playing catch up
