$7k 5.3/76mm fox vs Utah's "fastest" Challenger
Did a base/ conservative tune (on microsquirt) for a friend of mine on his stock 5.3, ls9 cam, pac springs, 76mm on3, 80lb dekas, th400, 3.55 gear 79' Fox on 26x8.5 slicks. He run Utah's "fastest" (supposedly) Srt8 Challenger. Has ran 10.89. Stock 6.1 with vortech v3 on 8psi + 175shot on slicks.
Built a safe base tune (17psi/11* on 110 & w/m) for him, pulled it off the trailer, did a couple test hits with the antilag now engaged. Tune was fairly rich (10.5:1), but he just wanted to run it. This is a local airstrip with a semi-prepped launch pad. SRT8 gets out on him out of the hole.... but he drives around the srt. They ran twice (switching lane). Same outcome. Here is a go pro vid of on the windshield of the Fox.

Nice runs. I am from Utah too but a little farther away in South Jordan. My family is from Roosevelt, Myton, Vernal.
If you come out to RMR once in a while let me know as I would love to see your car.

Lol, same story here. They have a "top 10" kind of list thing here at that air strip and that srt was at #1. He got kinda mad when my friends (kinda redneck-ish roughnecks) show up with their "pos" mustang and lay the smack down right off the trailer lol

The Dodges weigh as much as a fullsize '60s station wagon. Meanwhile our Ls1 f bodies are good for 12s with just a few bolt ons at a fraction of the cost.

Considering that they run 12s stock, that sounds like the fault of the person in the driver's seat.

Either way, the cars racing on this gravel road are out in the sticks. Plenty of faster cars in the city areas.
