C6Z v 414ci C5Z.
This run was at the runway rivalry. The RR is a roll event where the race starts at approx 60mph. The run is 14-1600ft. The rule of thumb is the trap speeds at the RR are typically 10mph faster than 1/4mile traps. The runs are released (given the green light) when the cars are within a car length of each other and at roughly 60. In this run my C6Z trapped 148 (NA pass) and my buddies C5Z trapped 141 (NA also). Enjoy!

The gearing in roll races like this kill the C5Z v the C6Z. It's hell starting in 2nd at 60 and an immediate shift in a C5Z, where as I'm at 4700 in 2nd, and shift out at 90 @ 7k on a 345/30 tire.

Yes, it does. He actually has a splitter that is typically under the front end you see in. The vid, but he damaged it 2 weeks before the RR.

They were thinking that this was a track vehicle, not a drag and roll race vehicle.

that only makes since on a track with a mph limit of 93~ mph. 1st gear is way too short. 2nd-3rd are nice, then its all over. Really bad spacing. When i get around to it i'm putting in the c6z ratios, since it was also thought of as a track vehicle and the spacing actually works well

You have to take into account the C5Z was built in and for the early 2000's when doing 105 in third was crazy fast, and 12's was quick. Times have changed, we have 7spd manuals, and 8spd autos now in vettes, and cars with plenty of torque to handle wide gear splits.
