Both sweet cars. Z06 is a 1/4 mile animal.

However this isn't the 1st time that I've noticed the shift around 130 mph bogs the motor down. Must be a really wide gear change

from my definition drag/street racing goes from a dead stop to the finish line.... this rolling start crap doesn't do much for me... takes no skill and all that it takes for someone to walk you is to be in the wrong gear when the guy says 3... is no surprise of the car that walked away... it should have, if not I would be taking it in to find out what is wrong with it

I'll take whatever I can get. People will do rolls because its easier on the drivetrain, and normally what you get into when you encounter another car during a drive on the highway.

they are nice street cars, but if they went to the strip they would have their butt handed to them by an old buick regal with less that 3500 bucks invested into it... too bad newer cars are getting heavier instead of lighter... and the corrected hp numbers are misleading also.... but for what they cost they better be nice cars

I concur, but prefer digs at the track and rolls on the skreet.

Sounds like a solid 13 second Buick right there.

lol... I don't have a buick... just a little old ltx camaro... if in the area should make plans and show up for aug 2nd.... supposedly there will be people from all over the Midwest for it as long as the weather holds... it is somewhat of an outlaw track... car has to be safe, but they don't go by nhra inspection rules so that loosens it up a bit.. is for street cars, tube chassis/full blown drag cars are not allowed for the event, I will be there as long as I don't blow my car up or as long as it is not supposed to rain but ltx cars don't make enough power to blow up right?http://iowasoldestdragway.com/2015schedule.htm

In the last pull, you can see he's at around 128 so I'm assuming he let off at ~130. From what people have said 120mph is when the down force really becomes an issue. That's likely why he kept letting off there, and not the gear being wide. But maybe it could be that too.

Some people would rather have nice cars, that aren't as fast at the track, instead of driving around in busted *** R egals.

seems like the A8 is the way to go. If I was picking up a new Z06 I'd have a hell of a time choosing between the two though...
