Default Z28 vs. 2015 Porsche Cayman

Well it wasnt a full on race but whatever. I was on my way home from school tonight and pulled up to a light. Next to me was a brand new porsche cayman, I couldnt see what submodel is was though but probably a base. Road was pretty deserted and I thought he was gonna go for it, light turned green and nothing..... he took off normal and i jumped a bit. Anyway i slowed down and changed to 2nd at around 20mph to start driving home, as soon as i did that he hit it...I kept it in 2nd and got into it but by this time he had a car and a half on me. I stopped his pull almost instantly and began to pull back HARD. Before I was even at the top of 2nd I was at his rear bumper getting ready to freight train by him, here he sees me and whats about to happen then puts on his brakes and like he won. I'm a firm believer a chase is a race but I'll at least call it a draw here lol.

I am not sure it would have made a difference base or not looking at your setup.

Sucks you were in the wrong gear, but I don't think it would have mattered if he hadn't pulled a ricer move and hit the brakes. Caymans may handle great, but they really lack a lot in the power department. Even the new Cayman GT4 is only a mid-low 12's car for the low, low price of $85k...

The thing I cant figure out is that it had the GT4 style spoiler on it but I don't think I would have pulled one like I did and he was def in it. I could hear the car and they way he jumped out def meant he was fully in it.

If he hadn't played games you, you would have whipped him. I'm at the same power level in a heavier car and I played with a couple of them....like clubbing baby seals.
