Is the IS-F a quick car??

I was door to door with one up to a buck twenty with my Z28 until he backed off..

mods are in my sig..

Just curious if they are supposed to be quick or if the guy driving wasnt doing it right

Should be a good match for you. They have a 5 liter V8 and make 416bhp. Trap 110mph on average in the 1/4 mile which is right on par with the average bolt on f-body.

They are quick for what they are and can be fast but nothing out of ordinary. There are about 3 or 4 at work that I am wanting someone to start modding but no one does.

Stock ECU is locked. It can't be tuned, that's why no one mods later model Toyotas and/or Lexus.

I've raced two, one when I was boltons/tuned like you: that freeway roll race(s) twice had me edging him out by two to three cars by 120mph even though I only trapped 108mph with those mods. I assume they have great gearing and get out of the hole well.? All I really care about is how gay and riced out they look from the factory --- especially there FAKE quad exhaust pipes that the factory tacks on. The real exhaust dumps under the rear of the car! LMAO

They actually tune themselves and do it very well just like the msd system they make for lsx vehicles. Numerous full bolt on and nitrous ones out there making power and a few TT combos with no issues on the tuning side.

I'd have to see it to believe. I know the 5.7l Tundra ECU will compensate for up to 4lbs of boost, but after that your **** out of luck. My 4.6l Tundra would not compensate for 4lbs of boost so must be a programming difference between the 5.7l and 4.6l ECUs.

And you don't need a tune for bolt ons. So I'm sure there are bolt on Yotas/Lexus running around out there for sure but boosted ones on stock ECUs are extremely rare. I was one of only 4 turbo Tundras in the world that I knew of when I was doing all my research to make it happen. Only me and one other guy were running stock ECU. The two others were controlling their ECU through a piggyback which eventually failed over 8lbs of boost.

Good run!

ISF isn't slow, but it's definitely not setting land speed records anytime soon!

I seen one run low 12s on drag radials. He said it would never run right for the mods. Locked ECU was why. Mostly seen 108-111mph for stockers or close to it at track

LOL, no. It can compensate, but it doesn't tune itself. And the boost guys are pretty much all running piggy-backs.

This exactly. And it will only compensate for 4lbs of boost. Anything over that, you need a piggyback.

The only way you can get that ECU tuned is through the dealership itself if you opt. to have the TRD supercharged installed. The dealership will flash the ECU with the SC tune. And even then, it still runs pig rich.

Pretty sure there are a few bolt on isf cars trapping 118-120 mph not bad for not being able to tune the car.
