Default LT4 Vette vs 2003 Cobra

Out on the streets of mexico again...against a fair opponent for once. 436hp in a terribly running 383 LT4 Vette vs a 500hp 2003 Cobra (dyno sheet verified, ported blower, head work, UDP's, full exhaust, intake, tune, etc...everything shy of putting a Kenne Bell or a Whipple on it). Vette was breaking up at 5800. Short shifting for days. Both us and the Cobra were chasing after another 03/04...I think I have a video of the two cobras running. Gonna dig and see if I can find it and upload it...both making right at 500. Cobra needs driver mod, driver can't help it...bad accident on his bike a year or so ago and has limited function of his right arm. I give him props for rocking that car in his current state. Guy is cool as hell.

Good run!

I used to have a friend that ran his procharged stick shift fox for years with a messed up right arm (got caught up in a corn picker), so hats off to the guy!

With a different driver, that 03 Cobra MOVES out. Ran the same Vette the week before...was a really close race. The Vette would top end the cobra each time...but the cobra would tug back like a fender on shifts. I wasn't riding along for that one.

Raced a random guy years ago on the commute home from college. 04 GTO 6-speed. He chirped 2nd and 3rd then missed 4th. I slowed down to give him a thumbs up. He raised his right arm up to do the same. It was amputated a little past the elbow, but he was all smiles. I still dont know how he shifted as well as he did. Major props to the folks who don't let injuries like that ruin their hobby for them.

Great runs! Reminds me of my races with my buddy's ported Cobra. He was like 501 rwhp IIRC and it was always a great race with me running n/a

Alright all of my boosted ford brethren. Let's pack it up. We failed at impressing hammer.

*Packs up briefcase full of dyno sheets, exits with head down.

Good runs, just don't get why 93 excuses are needed in the intro, especially when the runs were close and you edged him out on both.

CamOnlyJabroni - SVOs were in the 80s.

I lied anyway. I like blower cobros too. Even though there is no shoulder room.

Cuz that's how you make yourself feel better. Why people race when their cars are half-*** is beyond me. "Yeah, my car runs like ****, so I beat the **** out of it and hope it doesn't break."

Im i the only one confused by this a 500rwhp Cobra getting yanked on by a car with 436rwhp that apparently isnt even running right? I mean what are the specs on the vette must be pretty well done since those old LT4s are slow as hell.
